Insecurity, self-esteem issues, sexist attitudes, and entitlement of stellar proportions.

Guess it’s just another one of those days that I’m embarrassed of the culture surrounding my primary hobby. What is wrong with people?

This game desperately needs more incentives to play Supports and Tanks. They should look at HotS’ dailies and hero leveling system. As for the queue time for DPS ... I don’t mind, let them wait.

It’s not about hurt feelings or “a single work making your world stop.”

To distinguish from a sexist, homophobic or otherwise slur.

Slurs are not “taboo”. Care to make a fool of yourself any further, child?

Ah, fat-shaming. The completely acceptable, family-friendly alternative to homophobia.

Lol “back in the day” You aren’t the only one over 35 pal. And we BOTH know that people said faggot and other slurs waaaay more often.

The “it was an accident/I didn’t mean to use those words” defense is always baffling to me. I get salty sometimes during games. Even during Overwatch. But it’s never even occurred to me to use the words these guys do. These words don’t just accidentally slip out.

So what you’re saying is taking a group of individuals traditionally known for being socially awkward misogynists who have spent years competing in an environment where they had complete anonymity and could say whatever to whomever they please with little to no repercussions, and turning into celebrities overnight

like a 1:10 ratio of positive esports stories to negative ones. It has to be a fundamental problem with the culture of competitive gaming.

Yeah, the guy’s an absolute hypocrite.

Doesn’t change the reality of the behavior he called out—he just needs to be called out for the same shit, because he’s just as guilty.

Looks like he intended to kill a career, and now he’s gone and stoned his own with an unintended boomerang effect.

I’m going to be honest: I

It’s nice to know that Kaplan likes McHanzo, it’s one of my favorite Overwatch ships.

McCree’s always been hot. Stop stirring up crap, Grayson.

True, but most stats benefit the team: healing, blocking, etc. . . That is, if Blizzard would actually start rewarding players like Reinhardt for more than just kills.

forcing people to play with their sound off so they don’t have to listen to whinging try-hards helps how?

Everyone was super chill right up to the day competitive launched. Then the rage quits, toxicity, and trolling got really bad.

NOPE. Its a GAME. You punish abusive players relentlessly, across any game they want to be abusive in.

The fix is so easy, it’s amazing Blizz doesn’t see it: RATE US BASED ON INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE AND NOT BY STRICTLY WIN/LOSE.

Agreed, and often the community refuses to believe this is true. I play DOTA2 and work on Wall St and the cutthroat shitheads at work are 100x nicer than my average random DOTA teammate. And I don’t even play Ranked!
