I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a copy of the check in some form or fashion. If you’re going to make a universal connector, don’t make more than 75% of its features optional. At least with Type A, you can still figure out if the connector is at least USB 2.0 and 3.0 and not worry about if the thing supports any alt modes. As exciting as it is, I still find USB-C a terribly flawed in that I have no idea what a given USB-C port will support other than USB 2.0. It requires feature symbology to tell me what it supports and even then, it may not convey enough information about what level of feature that is. Sure it might have a DisplayPort…

Even despite the high barrier of entry for PC gaming VR, VR has its niche uses that may not make sense for everyone or for everything. Plus it’s one of those things you have to setup and tear down in some form or fashion, depending on the app.
