Spike Jonze is is an amazing director and all, but he's so goddamn charming on-camera. He's the best thing about Three Kings, seeing him turn up in The Wolf of Wall Street made me smile so much… his appearance in Moneyball was maybe the only worthwhile thing about watching Moneyball.

I'm at the "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" part. I actually can't tell if this is bad in a sort of funny way or just bad in a sad, unfortunate way.

Jason Schwartzman is a dick?

THIS IS A GREAT POINT, IDIOT POLICEMAN, HOW DO YOU RESPOND

I had just posted a comment asking why he'd never directed another film—I had no idea that he had.

I love this movie so goddamn much. Everything about it is incredible. Question, though: why didn't Phil Morrison ever direct another feature film?

Um, it's clearly "ooga chocka ooga ooga" ad nauseam—"chocka" is never chanted twice in a row.

If this starred a different cast, this would look like sentimental garbage, but I can't help but want to see it after seeing all of the talent in the trailer.

Was he not the lead in Hyde Park on Hudson?

I'm not the biggest fan of even the original Star Wars trilogy (I think Empire is really good, and everything else kind of bores me to tears), but this trailer makes the trilogy look like so much goddamn fun.

Yeesh, the Jackson estate must be off-the-wall desperate to approve of something like this. Lying is bad. I'll admit that it's an interesting news story, though, and I hope it's true—it's like something out of a thriller!

That would be the best solution for what I'm sure will be an eventual PC-port of this remastered version, but seeing as this is an announcement for a version on PS4 and PS Vita, they'll probably stick to having you control the character's movement, which will feel much more natural on a gamepad than on a keyboard,

I played Full Throttle for the first time using a SCUMM emulator a few years ago, and this song was stuck in my head for weeks afterwards. So good.

Buy it on Steam and play it using a gamepad. It's the most frequently updated version of the game (they just patched in achievements in the last year or so!), and probably the most stable out of all of them.

Well, the mechanics were absolutely terrible by conventional adventure game standards, so you're probably in for a treat having missed the frustrating "tank controls".

Someone previously suggested Richard Ayoade as a potential replacement director which still sounds like a great idea to me.

And Thor 1, for that matter.

This is literally the only good suggestion I've heard so far. Based on Submarine alone, Ayoade would be perfect for this.

Shit, you're right. I totally forgot that Meg sings in the song as well.

I feel like this is less about A.V. Club commentors being introverts and more about Jack White being an obnoxious asshole with a giant ego. He's a brilliant musician, but he's kind of a jerk.
