I finally saw The Babadook, and it scared the hell out of me. Also, it's such a better film than It Follows and it isn't even close.

"One Minute" from Breaking Bad would be a much better example of her ability to direct action. She also directed the excellent "Salud".

"Pretty nasty out, Mac."

That's how you do a jump scare. Not by having the music give away the fact that something is coming - hell, they don't even use music for the scare. It's all just the effect and everyone's reaction.

Good point about him being the author of his problems. I was struck by how it felt like an attempt to justify being a shy, awkward shut-in.

I was hugely disappointed. It's not really a movie about technology at all - it doesn't bother to say much about artificial intelligence or technology whatsoever.

That petition reads like a high school essay.

As far as I can tell you just wait for newswire posts to get published, after which you flood the comments with the most crass and/or broad puns you can think of.

Is this actually from an episode of Family Guy?

No - that other article made it clear that it was either made by Jimmy Kimmel or totally real! Boy, I bet Quaid's agent is nervous right now! Maybe he should apologize!

So we're just assuming that if it wasn't Jimmy Kimmel then it's 100% real? Solid logic.

No Devolucion is very good, much better than Common Existence in my experience.

Well, you're not wrong. At the very least I just wish he hadn't used the crash so much. It's distracting.

I'm always happy to see coverage of Thursday. They were never quite mainstream but never quite "cool" enough to see serious coverage in the indie circles.

Even if he noticed, he totally would've found a way to make her feel OK about it. I've met him a few times and he's always been unbelievably sincere and gracious.

You say that latter part like it's a bad thing.

No one will also read the article and note that they acknowledge a band of their size shouldn't be complaining.
