I get annoyed when 'non-readers' complain that the book readers think they're so superior or something for having read the books.

Nothing else needs to be said about this movie.

Actually, yes.

I was very confused by this.

Sounds good but the vanilla vodka paired with the already sweet frappucino would be too much for me.

Why is there no volume control on the Soundcloud player?

So brave

If I didn't keep my eyebrows on such a short leash, they'd be doing the same thing.

How would you compare the reading experience of Gravity's Rainbow to that of Infinite Jest?  I just finished IJ a few months ago.

I still haven't read anything by Pynchon.  I've been meaning to read V. for a long time, especially since it was the basis for one of my favorite albums (Vheissu by Thrice).

And even Rhaegar was a descendant of Aegon the Conqueror who won Westeros by force as well.  Point is, there isn't really any such thing as a "rightful" ruler of Westeros.

See, I love the Greyjoys, and I think they're the exact kind of characters that would play very well on HBO.

I disagree that it's a ploy.  It just shows that Martin isn't afraid to let his characters face appropriate consequences, and that he isn't above letting things get very unpleasant if that's what a person's actions would have led to.

SPOILERS SPOILERS, for the love of GOD, just get out of this comment section if you haven't read the books and don't want things spoiled

Part of the reason that Jaime is my favorite character (apart from the fact that he is hilarious and just straight up interesting) is that he doesn't pretend to be anything he's not.

Sometimes Martin really likes little details?

I can't stand reading the Cersei chapters.  So repetitive and boring.

Bunk's dialogue alone is funnier than most TV comedies I've seen.

It's pretty good most of the time, but some words just end up sounding a little.. weird.  Not even recognizably accented, just off a bit.  Same with Charlie Hunnam on Sons.
