I love Lenny casually mentioning that he and Carl have Master's degrees.

Lots of steam.
Did you guys know Kevin is really good at judging movies from a 2 minute trailer? I'm sure he's right about everything, since the marketing department would've included the complex moral dilemmas in a trailer if there were any. That shit plays really well in trailer format.
They already made this joke in their little trailer for the footage that was a teaser for the trailer.
Reminds me of a less-coherent Rabin sentence…
"I should buy a Big Butt Book."
If Pitchfork had a comment section, it would supplant the Youtube comments section as the worst place on the internet.
This is not related, but I just came here to say I totally thought the guy in the photo was Ziggy Sobotka.
Without Flight of the Conchords I wouldn't have ever seen the most amazing commercial ever.
Didn't you ever see that escape from Alcatraz? It wasn't easy bro…. forget about it.
Did they really though? I always got the impression that their scorn was directed at people who insisted that they were upholding rape culture (i.e. the people from Shakesville).
This actually did strike me as in poor taste, particularly because of the injured woman being so terrified, and then god-awful expression the detective (or whoever he is) has on his face at the end when he takes a swig of Mountain Dew.
@avclub-d194a7e6d2c70a859787f993d1fe3a94:disqus That's the problem! He comes up with such a great universe and everything and then fails to follow through at all.
I never realized I was so at odds with the "general" AV Club consensus on this film. I'd always heard great things, and I personally love it.
That's actually a fairly good point - I think Simmons is really great at creating atmosphere for a narrative, and then once the time comes to actually tie everything together, he gets a little lost.
I had a dream last night that my wife and I discovered a previously secret sixth season of The Wire. I was legitimately disappointed when I woke up and realized it had been a dream.
I really liked them too, but it realistically I don't think they live up to the first two books. Hyperion is almost perfect.
I would be curious to hear what you think of Endymion and Rise of Endymion once you finish them.
I read a handful of his stories in college, and I learned that it's pretty much the worst thing ever to be Native American (or Indian, as he somewhat refreshingly insists on being called).
I started reading The Dark Tower series a week ago, having never read any other King novels (and yes I know it's supposedly different from most of his other writing).
