I respect that he slowed it down after ASOS - it took a lot of plotting and work to get to the absolute insanity of that book, and I feel like it would've turned too ridiculous and pulpy if the rest of the books continued in that vein.

Loved AFFC.  Lots of small character moments.  ADWD was a little… slow-moving, but still great.

I watch all foreign movies subtitled for exactly that reason… it never feels right dubbed.

Yeah, his performance still really worked.  I liked that he managed to keep the personality, but you still didn't really doubt for a second that this guy was SEAL.

My wife and I couldn't stop laughing when he showed up in ZDT.  Just his existence is enough to make me smile, I think.

Well his films are certainly not overlooked or underappreciated… Coraline and the Nightmare Before Christmas are very well regarded.

I like Ke$ha.  It's fairly obvious she doesn't take herself too seriously, and it's kind of refreshing to hear music that completely embraces what life is like for a hell of a lot of white kids in their early twenties.  Which is to say, really stupid and trashy.
