You’re drawing a whole host of false equivalencies there. I never claimed Tesla wasn’t capable of revolutionary innovation, they’ve obviously proven that they are. Hell I’m not even saying they can’t hit L5 autonomy, they damn well might. But they won’t go from having absolutely nothing to building and selling a

All higher levels of autonomy are intertwined, and ultimately L4/L5 autonomy utilize the same underlying technologies to different levels of reliability/maturity/% of operating conditions. With that said, in order to reach those higher levels of autonomy you ultimately have to progress through implementation levels.

So we’re going to go from having ZERO level 5... Wait, ZERO level 4... WAIT ZERO LEVEL 3 autonomous vehicles owned by consumers on the road to having 1 million level 5 Tesla’s?... Yea I think most of that flack deserves to be pointed to whomever their emissions engineers on the program are. Generally if you can fix 90% of peoples gripes about an engine with a header & a tune then you did something comically wrong. The engines (Well at least the FA20, TBD on the FA24) are really well sorted
