Actually, the most impressive thing about this run to me is that they did this IN THE WET.

It’s a fine enough score, although if you were to listen to it without any context, would you be able to identify the composer at all? Would you assume Silvestri because of those two scant uses of the TFA theme, or would you be more likely to gloss over those and assume that it’s Hans Zimmer or one of his many…
I only remember it being used twice (and briefly at that) in TWS. Don’t remember AoU. But I’m encouraged enough to watch TWS again to see if there’s any other spots I missed.
The main theme in Captain America: TFA is actually a superbly written anthem, and I can listen to it endlessly.
I thought the original X-Men vs Street Fighter arcade game handled Rogue particularly well, especially as a 1v1 fighter. Rogue COULD fly, but didn’t have to, and had an attack where she sould grab and kiss her opponent (‘Thanks, Sugar!’), temporarily granting her the ability to use her opponent’s special moves. Rogue…
Even if sous vide was a successful method for set-and-forget caramelized onions, I still think I would choose the slow cooker ever time. Just about every bit as fool proof, really, and more people are likely to own a slow cooker than a sous vide device.
“Slight garbage human.”
Good pointers all around, though I think you could just as easily have titled this, “How to host any friends or family for more than two days.” Pretty much everything you ascribe to parents could be ascribed to anyone traveling...and especially friends or family who are coming with children.
Instead of mathing so much, why not just add gelatin? Considering that one can easily make jello shots with everclear as one can with vodka, ABV concerns tend to go out the window once you involve gelatin, it would seem. So, instead of mathing, couldn’t you bloom some unflavoured gelatin in whatever non-alcoholic base…
I may have grown up with a Countach on my bedroom wall (okay, multiple Countaches) like every other 80's kid, I also had posters of two under-appreciated gems: the Silhouette and it’s 80s-ified successor, the Jalpa. So pretty.
Ah. On my tiny phone screen, they looked the same. On a full sized monitor, I can see that they are different.
My old man got those aluminum wonders on his ‘85 626LX 5-door. Still love those wheels (and the overall design of that model) to this day.
Seconded. I have a set of Corelle plates and bowls that I bought a decade ago and use daily; no breaks or chips after a thousand drops. It may not be nice enough to be your fancy dinner tableware, but for everyday use, nothing beats it.
Owned an NB softtop for several years. I definitely enjoyed the ease operation of the top. But...
The best photo of the ones you had to choose from was one where she can’t figure out if what’s about to come up is a burp or a bit of vomit? (Come on, we’ve all had that expression before. “I feel some pressure here, but I’m not sure if I should allow this to escape my esophagus.”)
But my problem with the music (and let me be clear, this is *my* problem), in both the prequels and the new film, is just how much John Williams music I’ve heard from so many different movies over the decades, that there are times when a new theme from one movie just sounds to me like it could belong in another movie…
Justin, now that it is concluded, I must say that your list is a very good list. It is all of the films, pretty much, that I would have listed, if not in your order. (1. OHMSS 2. CR 3. TLD...TLD was 2nd until CR came along.)
...the CTS Coupe’s ass-end is held up high to the sky. No one needs to see that.
Best original score.
I was under the impression that most public restrooms in Japan didn’t provide tissue, as people are expected to carry their own. (Also why businesses hand out tissue packs as advertising, like matchbooks in the west.) Is this no longer the case?
