If these make the list I’m going to leave Jalopnik forever. There is NO TURBO LAG ON THESE ENGINES. A lack of low end torque below 2500 does not mean turbo lag. If you punch it above 2500 the turbo spools instantly.

I have an MS6 and I kinda disagree. I mean true there isn’t a LOT under 3k but I wouldn’t say there’s much lag, it’s just the way it’s tuned. If I punch it while cruising at 60+ the turbo spools almost instantly.
The Sprinter is a much more premium model than what VW puts out, but good point.
Maybe because they build them outside of Europe for the US market? I don’t know I just know they have a strong reputation for horrid reliability here in the states.
