I hear you, but the average woman is not making millions off the beauty industry -- that industry is taking her money and time, creating “demand” for stuff she doesn’t need, sometimes making her feel less secure. I get that, I do. But even as these beauty ideals allow some to express creativity and artistry, they traumatize and limit others. It would be wonderful if we could get to a healthy place with all this, but I don’t think any culture ever has.

This disappoints me a little. Yes, we women should do what we want with our faces. I met Tom Bergeron when he was a local show host in Boston. He came into the restaurant where I was a hostess with his wife and kids. Very nice, appreciated that I recognized him & watched his show. Kids made a mess because that’s what toddlers do.
