One of my moms is a step parent so I just call her by her first name, but when we’re being affectionate/signing cards I call one Mom and the other Mum. I babysat for adopted kids who called their parents Mom & Mommy, but I’m not sure if they still do that now that they’re grown.

Its seems so hard to bounce back from reality TV, so good for her for finding something constructive to put her energy into! She probably feels great about herself.

I was very impressed when he and Biden both did videos for It Gets Better. That’s a huge endorsement for your president to publicly say, “I see you and I care about you.” Even if policy takes a little while to catch up, the sentiment from a personal level is definitely admirable.

Sort of related Sephora question: Last week I bought something at Sephora and the cashier said to me, “Sorry we don’t have any samples right now. Was there anything you wanted to try?” I couldn’t think of a single thing and ended up just saying, “...no?” How do normal, savvy shoppers respond to this? Besides shouting

La Casa Gelato in Vancouver that serves wasabi ice cream! I’ve never tried it but it definitely exists.

Good on you for doing Nanowrimo! I’ve thought about it semi-seriously many times - its quite an undertaking. Anywho, good luck and have fun!

I’ve been thinking about giving it a reread myself! Better late than never. :)

My parents gave me “Our Bodies, Ourselves” which covered masturbation extensively (yay!) but was less informative about what the hell was going on in a dude’s body. Which is, I guess, the point - but it would have been helpful to know.

That’s an HBC Point Blanket.

Does anyone know if there is a model, maybe from another brand, that has an AM radio option? If I’m going to drop a good chunk of money on an alarm clock, I’d like to be able to program it to a station I actually listen to.

This is the funniest thing, to me. A mole?! Get that out of there!

I know there’s a strong nostalgia factor for some people, but I CANNOT wrap my head around Gilmore Girl fandom. This show was terrible when it was on TV and still is (I would have, however, watched the show if it was just Luke being rude to dumb townsfolk).

Cabbage flowers are legit lovely.

Just wanna give a shout-out to Canada’s first family for being very cute and good at dressing up.

Sometimes while traveling in the US I tell people that I’m from Vancouver and they say, “Washington?” It blows me away. Why would I say Vancouver if I meant Vancouver, Washington? I think if I was from there I was just say, “Small town Washington.”

The Woman in Black isn’t the kind of scary movie that gives you nightmares, but I definitely jumped watching it alone in the dark. Probably falls under the “Netflix & chill” category.

These are the two movies I’ve been recommending lately - It Follows reminds me a lot of Twin Peaks.

So. Many. Steve Madden ads. Never once owned any Steve Madden shoes.
