Until you do what I did once, and slam the hood down on the cap. :)

Anyone who thinks the free market is anywhere close to perfect isn’t paying attention.

Also, marketing rules, but marketing doesn’t make a product better.

Then they tried to kill their own:

What sort of disfunctional family doesn’t talk this through ahead of time, though? :) Or what sort of disfunctional family would split up to multiple locations for an indefinite period of time?

I agree on the residency requirements for the most part. Rarely it would make sense (mayor, for example, or a few other

Here I was expecting that he would be living in NY or PA and didn’t want to move a short distance and incur the potentially high expenses of such a move.

But Virginia? What was the guy thinking of when he accepted the job if he wasn’t willing to leave Virginia? Did he really think he could work from there?

Better handling, better performance, better comfort, cheaper price, and just as long lasting. You can do better than a Toyota in nearly every segment. Again, that doesn’t mean the Toyota is awful, but Toyota fans are rather pretentious about how their cars must be the best.

Why does Toyota get so much hate?

Because in nearly every segment they play in, there is a better vehicle on the market at a lower price.

But their fandom insists that no one can touch them on anything - reliability, quality, performance, etc.

They aren’t bad. They’re just beige.

Beat me to it by this much.... :)

Because you’re literally living in a van down by the river?

Ford buys every single vehicle that hits the market. Let’s not overanalyze this.

To be fair, most of Illinois has a 70 mph limit - only cities have lower limits, and in most of those areas it isn’t possible to do above 55 because of the $#@!@! traffic.

Probably for the better - it’s pretty easy to really foul up a MAF sensor with a K&N filter....

For the headlight, I pull about 8 or 9 trim tabs and that gives me enough flex in the fender liner to reach in and change the bulb without fully removing the liner. It’s quite the contortion to do it, though.

Hey - I’ve got no problems with trucks that get used. :) The Lincoln Blackwood was just obscene, though. :P

Not only that - but the most expensive component for an electric vehicle is the battery. The battery for the Focus is currently 23 kWh. The model 3 is estimated at a bit more than double that. You’d be looking at ~$5k in component savings for the smaller battery.

If you save $5k, that goes a long way towards the cost

I can imagine it now:

We need to be careful of Fizzy Cola Bottle Peanut M&Ms and what we put in Jelly Beans so that the Gummy Bears don’t discover our plan. If we succeed, we can take this to the Creme Egg.

Oh, I certainly understand that... I had done pads numerous times before going in to replacing calipers.

Eh, calipers aren’t actually that bad (I was not eager to do it the first time though, to be honest).... Once you get the sliding pins loosened, you pretty much just have the banjo bolt holding the caliper to the brake line. The nasty bit for many people is bleeding the caliper after replacing it. Screw that up and

You’re so delusional it isn’t even funny. Are there people with long commutes? Sure, but it is a SMALL percentage.
