I’m not trying to regulate ANYONE’S speed. I’m talking about when I am passing someone and some asshole is tailgating. I’m not going below the limit or even at the limit. I’m going with traffic. I don’t care if they want to go faster. Fine. But tailgating assholes are also the type that make irrational moves, cut

No, I am not. I am perfectly allowed to use the passing lane to pass someone. I’m not sitting in the passing lane at ALL *unless* as I’m passing some asshole starts tailgating me. They’re likely to cut off the traffic on the right to fly around *before* it is even safe for me to move over.

You’re misreading things, dumbass.

Calm down, asshole.

I’m always in the right lane if I’m not passing. I’m talking about when I’m passing and some idiot decides to tailgate. I’m not getting over then because that isn’t safe when the tailgating asshole is likely to fly into the right lane as I’m moving over.

Don’t jump to conclusions. I don’t sit in the left lane. But when I’m passing and some asshole starts tailgating, I’m not about to change lanes when that asshole is most likely going to swerve into the adjacent lane, cut off that vehicle, all before it is even safe for me to move over. If I change lanes when it is

In this case, absolutely. I’m passing and I’ll get over when it is safe to. I don’t sit in the left lane. But the idiot tailgating me is likely going to cut off the person in the right lane and floor it before it is even safe for me to get over. I’ll let them act like an idiot. If I get over the second I can safely,

I agree with that. However, when I’m passing and some idiot is tailgating me, they can go around.

I generally don’t move over. I let them go around.

If someone is driving that recklessly by tailgating, my experience tells me changing lanes isn’t the safest as they often try to change lanes and fly around. Going steading in the lane is the safe way to go - let the idiot make the moves..

I agree.

Realistically, there’s no reason to expect, on average, you will do better with a 401k than a pension. The 401k will tie your future to market rates, and depending on the timing of your entry and exit into the labor market, this can work for or against you.

For example, starting work in the mid 60s was a

Whether you’re self-employed or not, the employer side of social security is tax deductible. For the employer, it reduces their profits, and for the self-employed, the employer side (minus a hair, after a simple formula (hardly alchemy)) comes off on line 27, which means your tax bill is reduced for federal and state.

A

That doesn’t solve the problem. It helps, but it doesn’t solve it.

It also creates a VERY dangerous precedent if you don’t allow benefits to climb at the same time (ie, if you don’t also remove the cap on benefits), as it takes a significant portion of the country that currently hits that limit but still values social

12.4%, not 15%.

And that’s at a max, and not counting for the tax implications of half of it not being subject to income tax either on the employee (if self employed) or employer side.

That doesn’t mean that the switch from pensions to 401(k)s hasn’t been an unmitigated disaster, though. 401(k)s can be great - but people aren’t using them, partially because the money that had been used to provide a pension was never shifted over to fund the 401(k), instead being used to pad the bottom line and

I don’t think you understand how social security works.

First off, there are multiple benefits you get besides just retirement benefits. You get disability benefits and survivor’s benefits, just for two. Buying a similar insurance policy isn’t cheap.

But let’s ignore those. 12.4% of your salary goes to social security,

Realistically, many should count on much more than a 25% cut.

Why?

Well, Congress has proven themselves unable to do anything about this problem. They could have fixed it in 2000 in an easy adjustment to the formula that would have cost no one more than 5-10% of their benefits, but instead Bush had to push privatized

Ford has a similar setup in the Transit Connect here in the states (and a lot more vehicles sold in Europe)

I can’t believe anyone would be so idiotic as to think that Trump would be better than ANYbody else in the field.

And your choice is?

I’d prefer to stay away from those who actually have stated that we should commit war crimes... That won’t get us ANYWHERE with the rest of the world.

Which is a reason I actually like Sanders. Not because I think his ideas are all that great, but consider this:

1) The GOP holds control of the House. Because of massive gerrymandering, the odds of them losing control of the House anytime before 2022 are put around 1%. So count on the GOP extremists still running the
