1) Kasich himself admitted that the $8 billion figure was fabricated. He included all federal stimulus spending in that figure. No rational person thought the state was going to continue that on behalf of the federal government. Strickland's last budget ended in a significant surplus, too, btw. Not only that,

Again, you're ignoring the fact that Illinois has much more stringent disclosure and public records laws. Ohio doesn't. That is how Illinois manages convictions and we just have to live with rampant corruption (http://www.stateintegrity.org/). Need I remind you that they are STILL covering up coingate's report?

Really? How many other states have legislature dominated by what they themselves refer to as a "caveman caucus"?

Not a very scientific source.

Give me a break. Illinois' disclosure laws are much more stringent than Ohio's. Remember Taft? Convicted and remained in office. Or how about Kasich with his own unconstitutional JobsOhio pact where all state records sent to the unconstitutional JobsOhio are exempt from all sunshine laws.

Wouldn't it be easier at this point to list the cars not recalled?

Source?

Their above average reliability is key, too.

I've lived in California, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan. Ohio's politics are significantly worse than any of those other three. You just have to pay more attention to notice, because they actually are significantly less transparent than CA., MI, or IL.

Ohio, as an Ohioan I can proudly say we are one of the most ridiculous states around, particularly when it comes to the back-asswards state government we currently have.

The Accord wasn't in the #4 lane. They also weren't going slow.

Ford sent us a list of what's new, and the majority of it seems very, very minor. It includes things like a new front and rear fascia, new wheel designs, standard HID headlights and Recaro seats on the ST2 and ST3, new colors, LED lighting, stripes, and a freshened interior.

I'm not the suing type, but you had better believe I'd be suing for a small fortune if I was in that Accord.

Has TRW really turned into a company so unknown that we now have to refer to it as "A Livonia, Michigan based automotive supplier called TRW"?

I'm not sure this is a legend on wheels the way they're wanting to pretend it is...

That's a ridiculous amount of snark... :)

Yuck.

Sure - but there are two reasons you get fired - one, you're not capable of the job, or two, you have a complete asshole for a manager. This unhappy ex-employee here certainly sounds like he would fit in with the latter category. Grain of salt? Sure... but we should never discount a story like this. From my

And even if you double those wages to $29, the state would still be covering all the wage costs for several years. Government subsidies like this are out of control.

Yes, but those roles are currently underutilized. The number being added will be relatively insignificant. Shall we say median wages? Will that make you feel better?
