Ok, that makes more sense then. I didn't realize it was a pre-existing word. I was trying to make sense of it (aside from the screen being paperlike and bright) becuase it seemed like such an awkward word (a combination of a noun followed by a verb/color) but yeah, thanks!

Looks like a Kleenex ad

For lack of a better place to ask this; Is "paperwhite" supposed to be a play on the word "paperweight" ? becuase that seems odd, using a word that, these days, more often is used to describe something useless.

I'm sure someone else has mentioned this, but my One X doesn't have 2gb of ram and it runs awesome.

Sure. I was just mentioning that they -did- say they worked on this design for a while (and it wasn't just someting that whoever you were replying to made up ) . As far as I'm concerned , their keynotes are just big advertisements anyway (as are most keynotes) , though yeah, it's not in that exact video ad. Point

At the keynote they mentioned that they worked on these for 2 years.

I prefer things to function well -AND- look good. I mean, if you're going to make a quality product, you might as well make it count.

Wait wait... I just watched the video of the guy who put ipads on his chest and back from last year.... what exactly blew gizmodo away about that? They're not lined up, and the video doesn't even look like it's showing the right thing.

The bite is photoshopped into the apple though.

to 12, I was just messing around.

I don't think the new version for iOS uses HTML5. (someone else replied to my original comment mentioning that iOS's version used html5 and now is a dedicated app vs. whatever it used to be that was based on html5)

Personally, the only thing that'd get me back in the theater would be if they reduced the price of a small popcorn to 12 dollars. Those were the good old days.

Alright, that's kind of what I thought the deal was with the iPhone version. I forgot to mention, they're doing the same for the Android one, though they never said when it was going to be done.

Facebook's app is TERRIBLE for android (I don't remember if the iphone version is the same) . They based it on HTML5 if I recall, which turned out to be a really bad decision on their part becuase it loads pages slower than any other app I have installed. To me, the facebook app is a white screen with a small spinning

That'd explain it. Here's what it looks like with the oxide powder -

I'd like to see the next ipad in ipod touch colors, or possibly an iphone 5 design. or both.

Well, it's a powdered iron oxide so you don't grind it. I believe it's sold as an art supply (I think you can paint with it if you mix it with water or something) . Not sure about being used as a lubricant. sounds like a bad idea. haha

Tried this once and it didn't work. No idea why. I was using black HP toner and a neodymium magnet. What DID work however, was black iron oxide, though it almost seemed a bit too grainy when I tried playing with it (in oil, of course)

Don't be that guy.

Grow up. Set your personal opinion aside. This doesn't need to turn into an unnecessary flame war.
