glad you said this because I was about to... Higher levels of sulfur in the air tend to cause nearby citizens to purchase cars and build factories. Oddly this has no affect on the economy.

by the way, I read somewhere else that the patent was filed in 2006 (not sure which is correct or if half a decade vs. a decade should really make a difference anyway) but yeah, sometimes I get the feeling that whoever's handing out rulings on these cases isn't using the critical thinking part of their brain.... Sure,

I read that this patent was granted in 1999, which would mean that apple probably just waited till they had a viable competitor before suing

I'm a bit confused as to how HTC is going to implement this differently. Also confused as to why apple got a patent for that in 1999 and just sued someone NOW for it.

well, what's confusing here is that they mention the Evo (which currently runs 2.3 I believe)

@Septhinox - I think you missed my point. I'm talking about what this article is talking about. Making it a whole-home type thing (controlling your TV etc.) people will buy phones becuase they're something that most people buy, Most people do NOT , however, buy things like apple TV or other home-control devices such

I still dont really see this being popular... if its part of apple TV, i wouldn't expect sales to go up, if its part of anything else, it'll be tough getting people on-board with the idea of buying something they dont already have just so they can have something google search for them

What if they're just lying to us because they know that if the world ends, they'd get away with it?

damn... they're making it really hard for me to stick with the EVO till next july.... must ...stay...the... course....

i had to check mine (which doesn't have two facebook related photos,) to make sure that that was the case... it looks glitchy in that screenshot above though becuase they look like that

sure, you could call it that too I suppose. a diptych (if you're not familiar) is a collage made with two pictures placed side by side (or one on top of the other)

I'm pretty sure what you're seeing there in the "likes" section there is a a diptych, for lack of a better word... Its two of his "likes" split in half and glued together in one photo (sorry, I feel like an idiot right now for not being able to explain that simply... still really tired)

wait wait wait... the study is telling us that INexperienced drivers are worse than experienced drivers? Who the hell is paying for this research?

if there's one thing the chinese have always been good at , its filling the air with shit

glad someone else caught this detail. Even before reading your comment (i never clicked the article link) I was assuming that these monkeys were native considering that the guy said they chose them because they already knew the area where the monkeys lived.

This is almost as bad as the time when the US built that big fence on our border with mexico to show off our carpentry skills...

What do they mean by psychological warfare? Would that be like telling someone not to do something or face "unexpected consequences"?

no, I like it when groups of people (who in my past experiences have gotten a bit crazy about apple stuff) think rationally and agree that yes, this is not normal behavior.

I think i've only seen one comment disagreeing with the article ("haters gonna hate" ) so far. Way to go everyone, i'm proud of you!

its ok, sometimes I dont understand jokes either. ;-)
