Why should Rose have to have the trial extended because Doe’s lawyers are shitty at their jobs? Seems like her defense is already weak and they’re just trying to hide more damning shit and doing it badly.

I honestly don’t know but it doesn’t seem completely out of the question that judges would take into account employment issues in cases like this. Half of the commenters here are lawyers aren’t they? Someone let me know.
