This sounds like a trick... "Hey, if you let us put you on our list of confirmed torrent users, we'll give you 16 dollars! What's that you say? You're not doing anything illegal? Ok, well just try not to draw any conclusions about the lawsuits against you in the coming weeks."

@omygodc2: I totally agree with you on that point. "Driving on the highway" or "going to your kid's soccer game"? Really? There's plenty of other examples of portability that don't involve driving or children.

@shutupbitch: Huh? I don't get it. This is wonderful for tasting and smelling herbs such as thyme and rosemary. It makes the house smell wonderful like you've been cooking all day! :)

@The illest wind: This looks much more functional than the one in the article. I can't imagine that a rectangular toilet is comfortable ti sit on, or that it would flush well... Don't want poo getting stuck in the corners!

@Ducttape-Guru: I'm going to guess that there's a small emergency tank, with around 5 mins of air and a fixed mouthpiece, mounted on it somewhere for just that situation. Something like this: [www.lifesavingsystems.com]

@CrimsonCharge: Yep. Muscle is more dense than water, fat is not. So fat makes you float, muscle makes you sink. My swimming teacher in high school was a body builder. When he rested and floated still in the water, even with a full breath of air, he would float with the tip of his head just at the surface of the water

This is pretty cool! But how on earth did it get approved? This certainly "duplicates functionality already on the iphone" and could easily "confuse iphone users" and certainly "won't provide a good user experience over 3g". Oh, it's not made by Google? That's fine then. Let the banhammer rest today...

My digital camera is only 6mp... Yes, it's 10 years old now, but this makes me quite sad. But very nice pictures!

Now getting Shanghaied by Apple isn't just a figure of speech anymore!

Calm down. It's just a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Err... minus the smoke.

@sam4sb: Micro-bash is indeed awesome!

Nevermind having a wrinkly piece of plastic with condensation on it over the end of your lens. Your camera will stay dry to take lots of distorted and obscured photos.

@MerkurAlex: Yea, it drives me nuts when companies make claims about how great their product is based on lab tests. Then you get it out in the real world and it performs horribly.

@ihaveabu: I see. The difference between a bad antenna and a good antenna is negligible when the signal is perfect, but the difference is noticeable when you don't have much signal to work with in the first place. That makes sense. But this press release still has nothing to do with fixing the antenna itself. :)

@SuperGerbil: Uh huh... And the fact that this "bug" has been in all iPhones and nobody noticed until just now? Really? It's a conspiracy theory, but it seems more likely than not a single developer/tester/engineer noticing a difference between displayed signal strength and measured signal strength.

Sense: This press release makes none. How does a "display issue" explain numerous, some very scientific, reports of actual signal loss and degraded performance? I am not impressed.
