That is a pain. But the game is solid, it’s not like the devs are selling you a broken title and running off with your money. No kidding. it’s a bundle with the in game money cards. You’re still saving money unless you didn’t want the cards, but it’s not tricking anyone.

I’d also like more variety in powerups and special mushrooms in the other game styles. Mario 1 gets all the love. Also I’d love an alternate graphics pack fro Mario 1 and 3 based on the Mario All-Stars aesthetic.

Things I’d love to see in DLC: Curved and sloped surfaces, The Koopa Kid battles from SMB3/W/U,Boom Boom and a bigger variety of enemies, and a SMB2USA style set.

I plan to try recreating classic Mario levels as practice. The only one I’ve done so far goes in the other direction though. Yoshi’s Island 1 remade in Mario Bros 1 style. I had to work around the lack of Rexs and Banzai Bills. It’s also sad that you can’t make sloped surfaces. 84B0-0000-0082-033B

I wish they would have kept the project under wraps until it was done and released. The Konami banhammer will descend now. They C&D’d the last attempt at remaking MG1 and that one even had approval from Kojima.

Mostly accurate. The ‘Ultra’ brand was just a subdivision of Konami that allowed them to get around Nintendo’s restrictions on how many titles a developer could release in a year. But yeah, the NES port was inferior and not directly made by Kojima.

The mobile version has the same issue. The game is smoothing the textures on each tile individually without meshing the tile edges.

I had far more issues with MGS4’s controls, myself. They’re much more like a standard shooter’s controls which I was completely unused to as I always played shooters with mouse and keyboard.
