Double Fine used to do stuff like that. The problem is that videogame development is messy, things that were planned turn out to not be fun, features dev talked about are cut because there isn’t enough time to finish them, and so on. But people see early planning as a promise, so when these things don’t ship, some are

Yeah, like I said, in THIS INSTANCE, with no context or explainer, it sucks. But imagine if that diner robbery had commentary instead, and someone explaining what all the variables and code flashing by on the screen meant, it would be amazing.

The 3.5GB rar file is on Reddit. I downloaded it and there are 90 video files showing preprepre alpha test footage. If this is what we have to look forward to then it’s pretty exciting. On the other side of the coin, tho, I do feel bad for the devs having their work being put out on the net with no remorse.

BORTLES!

I must say, I very much am enjoying the Dwarven set and clothes and costumes and lighting designs. While watching this episode I was thinking “this is exactly what a live action Dragon Age should look like” lol (a game very heavily ‘inspired’ by Lord of the Rings).

I’m delighted to vote for Fetterman this fall.

I’ve been impressed so far with how well this show looks when things are happening in the dark, whether nighttime or in caves, mines, etc. After infamously murky scenes in the last season of GOT where you literally could not make out the action, you’d think show-runners would have learned their lesson. But we still

No hate like Christian love.

- Another excellent episode. This show does justice to Tolkien’s world, even if the chronology is somewhat messed up. So far, it’s epic fantasy done right.

This feels so very manufactured.   Like they had to know that Warner wouldn’t just be like “Okay, make a movie using our IP”.  The pushback from the “media conglomerate” is part of the show and the goal.

Maybe the immature 14 year olds on Reddit are the target audience, given some of the shit I’ve seen posted here.  (Not in this thread, however.)

I cannot stand headlines with words like “Uhm” “Uhh” “Erm” etc. Dear whoever writes the headlines for this awful site stop typing like a 14 year old on reddit.

You seem fun.

No it’s not because it’s not portraying it as a good or bad thing. It’s an undeniable fact that most people aren’t worried about covid anymore. Reality and society are abelist, the post isn’t.

You’re also prioritizing one group over another. And it’s condescending to say people don’t “get” your argument. It seems like they get it, but disagree with you.

Your analogy doesn’t make sense. Yes, “Most people can take stairs, but it’s still fucked up to not have ramps.” That’s why it would be wrong to require people not to wear masks. But you want to require all people to wear masks, forever, regardless of whether they have a condition that puts them at heightened risks or

An observation of reality can’t be “ableist” jesus christ.

Which could have resulted in them being charged under state laws and not being able to practice anyway, which impacts an even larger segment of the community that needs them.

Are we sure him wearing the mask at the Emmys wasn’t a pre-planned bit to take attention from Quinta Brunson because he’s a racist?
