Might want to do some research. We have a progressive tax system too (way more progressive then yours actually). The poorest group of people don’t pay taxes.

Seriously. Everyone acts like this is utterly unprecedented and impossible but EVERYWHERE ELSE does it just fine.
I’m originally from the US. I know what the US healthcare system is like - half my family works in the medical field in the US.
Ok, cool. Keep your current system, it seems to work fine for you and that’s what matters.
1) show me some seriously hard financial numbers, including the costs of the disruption to the existing system
You think your experience is what most people have? Come on. I believe your employer offers multiple plans across multiple providers - but you are literally the first person I’ve ever talked to who has had that experience. Every single other person, when they have employer coverage, only have maybe 2-3 tiers of the…
Great, so you are part of the 1% that has some modicum of choice. Your experience is not universal.
But virtually none of the supporters of Medicare for all can answer any of the basic questions without going straight to whataboutism’s or personal attacks.
I thought America was the greatest country on earth? Why can’t it figure out the answers to those “hard questions” that nearly every other country on the planet has figured out.
Do you have more then one choice? Or do you just go with your employer’s health plan like 99% of people who have employer coverage?
Word of warning - if you remove your mobile number from your Twitter account, it will turn off your 2FA - even if it’s set to use an App only. So there is no way to be more secure without giving them your cellphone number.
I’m not sure there is a good way to reconcile “Knowing where your child is at all times because of GPS” and not making your child feel like they are under constant surveillance. I’d have had a far worse child/teenagerhood if my parents could have tracked me whenever they felt like it.
Sounds like you were doing it right - and the closer you are to the border the more likely you are to get a merchant that deals with enough USD to make it worth their time. But you weren’t looking at it trying to make a good deal by bringing us some of that holy green money.
Spoken like someone who has never been across from an American at a cash register who acts like an asshole because you won’t deal with their wad of cash even though “it’s just dollars man”. It’s not a shakedown to want to be paid in the coin of the realm rather then some foreign currency.
That’s a quick way to piss off everyone you are dealing with. Most places I’ve seen, when they take US dollars, take it at par because it’s a pain in the ass to deal with when you only deal with it on occasion. Also, most of us are tired of Americans coming over and acting like Canada is an extension of the US and…
I’m confused - before you sounded like you were chastising people for saying a civil war may be incoming.
When I first saw pictures of this - I was about 80% sure it was part of the “Before humanity made it to space” reel of a new Sci Fi movie... so props I guess?
The good thing is Trump does not have military brass on his side.
Stop acting like your parents and grandparents and save the world they helped ruin.
Your beliefs are none of their business just like theirs are none of yours.
