My dad says all the time how the Mets were seemingly on the road until the middle of April back in the ‘60s and ‘70s (too lazy to comb through Baseball Reference right now to check him), but I do think it would make sense to utilize the Southern and Dome stadiums early in the year. I will likely be freezing my balls

That’s misleading, because you sorted by total WAR, which takes fielding into account. It’s useful in discussing his overall value as a player, but not so much when discussing his value solely as a hitter.

Technically, he’s the worst *position player* according to WAR. He’s a dreadful fielder and baserunner as well as hitter.

good one, Parcells.

They just had Garth freaking Brooks there for seven nights in a row! What more could your average Calgarian want??

So this new arena that can host the Flames and contain the large sets of major concerts/events, it’ll probably bring in a tonne of revenue and pay for itself, right? Bring in a healthy return for the private investors who fund it?

THE CLUB IS OPEN

Numbers don’t matter. Nothing is as loud and passionate as a Chargers fan in LA.

The home crowd noise of the 27k capacity of the StubHub Center, 30% of whom will be fans of the visiting team?

On August 23rd the Indians were 69-56 and the Dodgers were 89-35. The Indians are now 88-56 and the Dodgers are 92-52.

I think Beth is doing fine. Rex, not so much. They don’t have good energy together. Rex wasn’t really adding anything in the first half (I think he added two comments in the opening drive), which has created a lot of awkward silences. Also: the sound mix is super weird. Their voices are coming through flat and low.

listen up franz, rex is doing his best. I’m tired of the elites talking smack about rex. he is successful and that is the line i will not cross. not talking about successful people such as rex ryan or dennis franz.

Good gods, can we get Rex a coaching job somewhere so he’s not ever doing this ever again? Surely the Browns have SOMETHING he could do.

What?! They’ll sign Chris Johnson but Kaepernick is sti.... Oh I’m sorry, my bad. First instinct.

3) Kingsley

Strangely, he actually didn’t get the idea from Australian Rules Football, but from watching a tape of Christian Hackenberg throwing the ball in pre-season.

Pittsburgh the Elder

Carson Palmerston

But not in one game. That would be a different record or something.

“...where the average player’s career is over by the midpoint of his fourth professional season.”
