Finally, someone with an opinion on something. Much better than the usual mining-the-audience for material stuff.
I’ve owned an M3 with the s65 and I currently have an e63s wagon with the M177 engine. The S65 is a classic engine with multiple engine of the year awards, but the M177 is another experience entirely.
Austin is a lamentable wasteland of psychopathic greedheads, fentanyl addicts and gormless strivers.
Id like to know more about them. I'm assuming they are MB wheels, given the center cap integration, but I've never seen them before.
I went from an e90 m3 to an e63 wagon. I didn’t track either car, but for me personally, the fun to drive factor is way higher in the Merc. Granted the AMG is AWD, ten years newer, and +200 hp.
Cake bikes are nice but for $4K you can get a SurRon that can handle like a dirtbike, has a real seat, real moto geometry, and a central motor w/chain drive. Having that hub motor hanging out over the ass end makes for some unsprung weight issues that will negatively impact offroad performance. This thing is an…
I've had a long day, but it sure looks like the front and rear wheels are different diameters.
I inherited one of these from my grandfather. British Racing Green with a manual and red interior. Grandpa kept it up but my dad had been storing dog food in it for a couple of years in Florida and the old girl was pretty sad when I got her.
Screw the haters.
That’s what I’m thinking. This has to be some sort of Andy Kaufman performance art with the real reveal of the actual truck forthcoming. II would actually respect Musk if that happens. It seems impossible that a company on the bleeding edge of design would come up with something so absurd.
What about this space oddity:
I was snowmobiling in Crested Butte Colorado one time and there was this old guy trying to get his snowmobile unstuck from a bank of trees. I hooked up a rope to him and got him out. He shook my hand and said “I’m Jim Hall.”
I remember reading a review at the time these were released saying that it seemed as if the designers were in the throes of a bad LSD trip when they were working on this car. That rear window is..well... it’s about as attractive as the spoiler. I’ll leave it at that.
In the immortal words of Frank Black:
My Dude. Keep preaching. You are a Vessel Of Divine Truth!
True, this car still looks very modern. I want one from that era just as bad now as I did when they first hit the scene.
Yes. I have an E90 M3 slick-top DCT and with the addition of blacked-out kidneys and a Urethane Ebay chin splitter with yellow reflectors on the bumpers-to-bodycolor-delete and some 12mm spacers on the front and rear wheels it is aging really well and set up for a nice arc into future classic status without too much…
I remember visiting a lot with these on them right after they came out. Someone mentioned at the time that they were designed with the assistance of the Cray Supercomputer!
