I’m glad you’re not immediately disregarding it like some people. Or others who say her other tweets are out of context. Okay then, prove they’re out of context if that’s what you believe.

It’s on her bloody LinkedIn page for crying out loud and you can look at it without an account. Forget about “digging” it’s quiet visible publicly. The tweets not talking about her article just further support her being okay with child porn. Of course people don’t want to believe it and say those tweets are “taken out

Heh ya I remember seeing that. I think he posted a tweet from her in his article saying she didn’t want to be involved either. Funny how people come down hard on TheRalphRetort (don’t visit it so idky) but he actually respected her wishes and didn’t paint her in some way either, and yet Kotaku does.

“Shit, proof, better back out of the argument since I can’t block here.”

Not to mention that The Wayne Foundation (spreading awareness of sex exploitation of children and sex trafficking) is the one who actually contacted them and got in touch with Nintendo.

Who, Spider-Woman or Tracer?

“ If they were truly ‘sexy’ - more guys would complain.”

You assume that a sexy female character isn’t a power fantasy for a woman. Men has physical power with gets exaggerated with bulging muscles, and women have sexual power which also gets exaggerated with specific figures (not for Tracer but for other characters across different mediums).

Agreed. For reference, I was only stating it how they see it, “If you take it out, they will come” mentality.

Exactly! When you have cartoon characters you have to exaggerate their poses to give them personality and look interesting. It’s Overwatch, not Uncharted.

You could easily pose it as “Physically strong men perpetuate the stereotype that men have to have giant bulging muscles to be a strong character” nonsense for them to cave in. But no one makes that claim because we don’t give a sh*t, they’re cool characters.

It’s basically, “Help governing body in control, take content out I find objectionable so I don’t have to parent my kid”.

It’s not even like she’s wearing ass-less chaps or then there would be an argument. Maybe these people got tired of yelling at Zero Suit Samus for wearing spandex and not getting Nintendo to change it, and moved on to Overwatch.

I’m not going to say you shouldn’t have the option to “mute” seeing someone’s posts... but if everyone did that then these sorts of discussions couldn’t be dealt with and would get us nowhere. I mean sure, it still hasn’t stopped people from censoring or appealing to the perpetually offended minority, but (heh) it

It’s because they find the content offensive, and if you make it less offensive then those people will suddenly be interested.

You’d be surprised actually. I remember trying to talk down a mother letting her 8 year old son rent Dead Space because you rip character’s limbs off (among other things). I think she stopped saying “Yyyyyyyyyeah maybe well get something else.” Talk about stupid for not reading the bloody rating on the front cover.

Someone’s butthurt over “butthurt” haha.

No no no, violence is a-okay. Blowing someone’s head into a million pieces or tossing out grenades or ripping off limbs (Dead Space) is perfectly acceptable, especially killing hoards of male characters... but showing a skin-tight butt of a woman demeans every woman in existence.

Don’t you remember? Gamers aren’t game companies audiences...

Most poses for cartoon characters are unrealistic and exaggerated to add personality or emphasize their emotion with exaggerated body language. I had to make poses for one of my animation classes and one of the things you learn is you have to push further to make it stand out.
