I THINK that what was going on with Kara’s test is that she saved the plane not out of need to help the people on board, but out of fear of losing Alex. She needed to have the courage to continue living life the way that she had, and trust to the pilot to save the plane.

I kind of enjoyed that we didn’t get a pat answer, and that Kara (surprisingly!) lost the first round because of it. The obliqueness of the gauntlet was a nice subversion of how these episodes usually wrap up neatly every week. I’m sure the show will reveal what the true answer is at some point, and I do hope it ties

It’s yet another storytelling issue that crops up when your main character is effectively an all-powerful immortal god. Don’t they...have a duty to never stop helping people less fortunate?

I thought it was hilarious that Nyx just randomly lucked into an amateuer psychotherapist-shaman as a partner in crime, who guided her deftly through this harrowing emotional trial, and then did a brilliant pivot to help her with its aftershocks too.

-DAVID DIDN’T USE A SLINGSHOT, HE USED A SLING. THERE’S A DIFFERENCE.

I loved Alex when confronted with the giant kitty immediately converting her Martian weapon into a bazooka. But Alex does not f*** around

bro. BRO.

Y’all are burying the lede: Pizza Dog Confirmed!

I’m pretty sure that in Kara’s world, existing just to shove pastry in her face is a very important role.

Yeah, as clumsy as ever in articulating issues, but I am glad that they saw fit to call attention to these specific problems in as blunt a manner as they did.

Oh, my God, now that there are a couple characters who don’t know she’s Supergirl again, they have another window to adapt “The Late Mr. Kent,” my favorite episode of the ‘90s Superman cartoon!

I hope you’re not wrong. I’m okay they no longer want the character on the show as he had a tendency to make it all about him. Him dying, and after being played by Bishop though? Well, that kinda insulting to the character and his decades worth of stories of always being just the one extra step ahead of the other guy

TV line last year let people vote for their “dream team” of Legends team members. The winners were Sara, Ray, Mick, Snart, Constantine, Nate, Zari 1.0, and Stein.

I somewhat expect Constantine’s death to be undone, partly because this seems necessary to restore the fountain & Spooner’s personal timeline. I guess the team and Zari 2.0 are both not taking him back, though. Sad really but it does seem like the right ending for that character, who even on a team of misfits never

Can we at least appreciate that even their fictional performance managed to be the textbook definition of “Spursy”?

Kara ending up in the future with Mon-El would make sense story-wise, but I would not be happy with it, especially if it involves her and Alex not being together

I like that William apparently somehow met his  new gf in a Hallmark Christmas movie

Iron Man wasn’t pre-Marvel Studios. It was the first self-financed Marvel Studios film.

There MUST be some involvement here from Joe Posnanski (the best sportswriter around these days.) He and Mike Schur host a podcast together, and Posnanski has been one of the leading voices in mainstream sports telling the stories of those Negro Leaguers whose incredible accomplishments were ignored by so much of the
