Okay yeah, that's a good explanation.

Lena was at the Fortress when Lex zapped Kara to the Phantom Zone.
Insert that smbc comic about Superman here.
In fairness, they had to give the previous season an actual conclusion, handle Benoist’s maternity leave, and then wrap up the show, all while writing the entire season remotely. It was a lot to balance.
Hard to be a superhero when you’re locked up in juvie.
I’ve had this suspicion that the show’s final season is building up to the point where Kara’s realized she’s done “enough” and can put away her cape, which isn’t how I’d end the show, but hey that’s just me. And if that is the case then maybe the test was for Kara to have the courage to realize she can’t, or…
No, no, the scientist on Supergirl was named Lahr, totally different.
The show’s going to have to jump through some serious hoops to keep Rick as a member of the team going forward.
First of all, I’ll straight up say I enjoyed the hell out of this episode. Was it as subtle as that shot of Between the World and Me and White Fragility on Alex and Kelly’s coffee table? Yes, but I find that earnestness endearing. They let Azie Tesfai vent and she delivered, and I’m really glad the show found space…
I did not have Supergirl doing an episode of Nancy Drew on my bingo card for this season. That being said, Lena’s a witch, okay, sure, fine, whatever, it’s still better than how she got treated in the Superwoman comic book.
Well gee willickers, I don’t know how them JSA kids are going to get out of this pickle. I mean seriously, Eclipso is way too OP, I guess that's why they introduced Thunderbolt?
The dog in the set photos had both eyes, so I think they’re using CG.
The Dreamer powers seem to have a strong mystical component to them so it stands to reason they don’t perfectly conform to a rational scientific view. Dreams aren't rational, why should dream powers be?
In practical terms it probably wouldn’t be too much different from regular synthetic diamonds, which I think are already fairly economical to produce.
Kara crushes a lump of coal into a diamond and drops it on the landlord's desk.
The no promos thing is so weird, they aren’t even posting them to the CW Youtube channel. It’s like the network stopped caring about the show now that it’s in the homestretch or something.
Up until this episode Beth's parents have been low grade shitty, but tonight they moved into high grade shitty. It's one thing to be emotionally distant, it's entirely another to dip out of a conversation the moment you have to talk about something difficult.
All Wardens Are Bastards.
The big thing I wish they’d done differently was have the corrupt warden (hey, synergy with Stargirl and it’s Shawshank reference!) try to bump off Kara for sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. That said, I was a big fan of Bruno Mannheim and Intergang getting name checked, and really the episode’s vibes as a…
I get why they made Sportsmaster and Tigress regulars for next season. That scene with them, Pat and Barbara was a damn delight.
