Chester did create the device that removed the whammy from Barry and Cisco though.

Yeah, I don’t know exactly if that episode was good, but it was the exact mood (dare I say vibe?) that the show should always be striving towards, and Poker Face karaoke was chef’s kiss perfect. Though if I did have a quibble, it’s that they had three damn fine singers present and they didn’t let them show their…
Am I the teensiest bit disappointed they didn’t do a full animated episode despite knowing how logistically impossible that would be? Yes, of course. Was what we got still great? Yes, of course. I also thought Matt Ryan was great tonight, especially when he was being possessed. And why was Spooner a fork?
Reading the interview on ew.com, it was pitched early in the writing process for the first season, around July of last year, so when she was probably still on staff, but I don’t remember her twitter thread well enough to know off hand when she left the show.
Edge floating Kyle as a possible test subject junior executive definitely felt like a threat.
So help me, after all these years of superhero shows and movies being the dominant force in pop culture, i still get a little thrill whenever they introduce a character from the comics. Just a jolt of “hey, I know that name!”
I suppose canonically DC has always been a little vague about where any of their made up cities are, but yeah Metropolis is vague on the east coast and smallville is in the plains.
s’mores are only good when made over a campfire.
Curious timing that both Joe and Sophie quit their jobs in law enforcement in the same week. I think that means aside from Barry the Idiot there aren’t any cops left in the CWVerse?
It really doesn’t make sense taht Metropolis and Smallville would play each other in football, but whatever, maybe Earth-Prime high school teams do more out of state travel or something.
I did the same thing.
tbh, i was really hoping Batwoman was going to be a bottle episode with Luke, Ryan and Sophie stuck in the holding cell hashing out their differences.
This is super minor, but took me forever to realize the second footnote was attached to the first, and wasn’t part of the body of the review. Also, it was much more of a Voice pastiche than the Masked Singer wasn’t it? I mean, aside from DJ S’More Money (that asshole! sidenote, I deeply respect the show’s commitment…
This is an episode that will definitely improve on a rewatch because while I appreciated what it was doing on an intellectual level, i spent the entire episode staring at the clock. I was too aware that the show was going away for months andI wanted them to get Kara back and not end on a cliffhanger in the Phantom…
The only reason Supergirl debuted when it did this season was because they had to shut down production of Superman and Lois due to a covid outbreak on set.
Everything about that Frost plot was as dumb as a bag of rocks, holy fuck. If nothing else the appeal if the case went against Frost would’ve dragged on for years.
Of course the Legends didn’t get the memo that the DEO was destroyed last season. I was also kind of hoping for Sara to mention that this wasn’t the first time she’d been abducted by aliens, but I suppose the show had more important things to do than completely wallow in continuity. Still, yay, Legends is back!
So far as I know, that’s her real name.
Tala Ashe including ZariCat in her picture set of Zari’s looks from season 4 will always bring me joy.
Klemmer, Shimuzu, and Grainne Godfree (such a New Gods sounding name) are the current showrunners for LoT
