Stop motion time demons are extremely my shit.  Somebody call the Legends.  And the absolute audacity to drop in a 4:3 clip of the Shield pilot.  This episode was the fun Kerry was pining for at the start.

Davis flew the Quinjet up to Izell’s ship.  There was obviously some sort of contingency plan in place in case they didn't make it back.

There were other people on the Zephyr.

I think it was supposed to be five years as a member of SHIELD, but yeah that was odd.

Mack’s reaction to seeing Fitz again was adorable.

Bill Irwin, so good. That escape was mesmerizing.

If it wasn’t Vince Guaraldi’s it was an arrangement meant to mimic it that's for sure,

Post-Snap Maria Hill’s pop star career really took off.

That was an all time great episode. Henstridge and De Caestecker knocked it out of the park.  Baby Simmons was adorable.  Leopold and Ringu!Simmons going at it was telegraphed but still hilarious.  When Shield cooks, it cooks, and I can't wait for Fitz to meet his failgrandson.

I’m working my way through the season, but I can’t drink whisky like I used to so it’s slow going. Speaking of whiskey, Jessica must have some clients who can pay because she’s got a lot of fifths of Michter’s on her shelf, and that’s not a cheap. Jillian remains itranscendently good and I’m sad we won’t get more of

Salinger rationalizing away Erik’s reaction to him was pretty great. “No, I’m not evil, I can’t be evil, you’re not crying blood because I’m evil, it’s because you’re evil and I’m good. Yep, that’s the ticket.”

Jess lobbing the hand through Salinger’s window was a great sight gag, and I liked how it got him off his game a little. The  “five steps ahead” serial killer character that Salinger appears to be is so overdone, and unrealistic, that anytime the story can out them on the back foot I’m all for it.

It’s funny because I made a very different connection to Veronica Mars with Erik, Vinne Van Lowe.

The scene in the restaurant between Kith and Hogarth was so goddamn good. Also, am I crazy, or is Jeri reuniting with Kith so she has someone to feed her the suicide pills when it’s time?

I am endlessly fascinated by Trish’s relentless and overbearing sense of right and wrong.

I keep forgetting the show is on at 8 now.

Point of order, Sauron was on Staten Island when he said the best line in the history of literature, not the Savage Lands.

Beef production is pretty bad for the environment and we all should eat a hell of a lot less of it, and McDonalds uses a hell of a lot of beef is my guess.

But they didn’t accidentally run into Fitz. Jemma found another lead, the cryopod planet, and followed it

If Jemma hadn’t kept up the hunt then Fitz would be captured by the Chronocoms with no backup. Jemma did nothing wrong.
