well I was sleepy when i wrote the original. I meant gameplay. I was comparing (at least in my mind) how films promote something as the "most" when they know there are tons of flaws.

i meant gameplay not story. I was too tired when I wrote that post. I meant that when companies promote having "the most" something especially violence its often done to cover up some real flaws in the game.
I didn't mean story I meant gameplay and design. I was writing this when I should have been sleeping. In my head I was comparing movies and games. A film promoting itself as the "most violent" would pretty much be guaranteed to bomb. The same folks promote games and I have a feeling maybe not proof that the game is a…
Im guessing you mean the second splatterhouse game? But this pretty much exactly what I meant. A sequel to a game and they promoted one area of the game because the rest was deficient.
nope very old actually. I meant gameplay design not story. But in my head I was comparing films and games because this sort of promotion for a movie would imply some real faults. Mortal Kombat on some of its worst (play-wise not violence wise) had similar statements.
most people cant see posts to others. If they could I wouldnt get the same reply over and over
same folks who promote films promote games. Tends to indicate a problem
I didn't mean to say story. I mean the gameplay ect. It was more about the statement that it would be the "most" that worries me.
If it isnt distraction and a major technical achievement then it could.
I reviewed the previous MK games and after 3 they had some real clunkers and they used some of the film buzzwords that indicate a flop. I think thats why this triggered my flop sense when I read "the most" bit.
Oh I very much admit that. It's just a big warning sign if it was attached to a film and to me is a warning sign for a game as well.
You have the story totally wrong. It's all about man's inhumanity to man.
I dont care about the violence or mature-ness. Its the fact that they're stating this will be the most this or that. If a film said that it will indicate that you should focus on this and ignore its deficiencies. And it is this type of film that generally bombs
heh I have to respond. Copy and pasted but some got extra bits.
i shouldnt have said story. I mean the design of the game. I posted when I was just going to sleep. If a movie said this you'd know it was so badly made they'd want to get sales based on word of mouth. Thats what this seems to be saying.
