Truly, that was a featherbrained joke.

...I still quacked up, though.

I’ll bill you for my mental anguish later.

My wife and I live on the southern shore of Lake Erie, and in our area, Canada geese (and it still drives me nuts that they are called “Canada geese,” and not “Canadian geese”) are a protected international species.

This means that the geese cannot be harmed, harassed, or “molested” in any way, shape, or form. I think

That bird is fowl.

Imo that isn’t a great analogy. People who don’t love LoL can still play it and identify how things work, it’s not like a chef who can’t taste the food they make. Riot is also so huge that there’s probably many jobs where someone isn’t directly working on League, and thus it matters less if they’re a huge fan.

All HR departments need to be separate entities from the company in which they operate.

Good story, Cecilia.

You worked hard on it and I hope you feel good about being part of important change. (I’m often critical of kotaku, outside of refreshing it 10x a minute.)

These sorts of reports, are hard to do, and I don’t know how the pay scale works, but I imagine it can’t be worth it monetarily. Like, you’ve

Until people see heads roll, of course they’re going to be doubtful. Right now, there’s this commitment to change but has anything really changed from the perspective of someone who isn’t in the company?

HR departments never do and never will. They are, as any other corporate department, beholden to the company.

This is the gospel. Human Resources is not an advocacy team for workers, they are there to protect the company from lawsuits. Nothing more, nothing less.

Until HR departments actually start caring about their “human resources” instead of protecting the Company, none of this shit will matter.

Not sure about the face... she’s wearing so much make-up she looks like a completely expressionless doll. But the rest of the cosplay is spot-on!

Now playing

It’s not a segment aimed at Otakus, it’s clearly a gag aimed at his own audience based on the fact that the anime character is 1) very popular 2) has the same name as him. You don’t need watch anime to get it and while I DO like Anime I have never watched Detective Conan and don’t need to for the joke to work.

NIche market refers to a market in which there are very few people interested in.  When the gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar/euro business, you can’t exactly call that a “niche market”.  You’re applying the term to too broad of a spectrum.

I’m pretty sure Fahey was dealing with some medical issues three months ago that might have distracted him from this game’s reveal.

I think they’re a company that’s well past its prime, regrettably. Think of how long it took them to make FFXIII only to get “one long tunnel,” then think of how long it took to make FFXV only to get what felt like the world’s smallest open world game ever.

You treat it like a foregone conclusion that this will go nowhere. This is a “tribute video,” but I view it more like a pitch video. It’s from a successful, proven indie developer. Square Enix has said outright that, if they’re not doing anything with an IP (Legacy of Kain, Fear Effect, etc), they’re open to letting

Heck, just go the Sega route and license the property to an indie dev to make an official fangame out of it.

They don’t have the talent anymore to do these kinds of games. If you look at Chrono Trigger, it had an All-Stars team of musicians, director, designer, etc.

All focused on this game

I tend not to comment on women’s appearances but... do conservatives just have a little tree that cruel-looking blond women bud from?

WAIT NONE OF THIS MATTERS IS YUZO KUSHIRO DOING THE SOUNDTRACK?
