What? What? Since when is he leaving? What's that about?

I think they're fake, so hopefully they'll be gone soon. Didn't she say something about that she was wearing poor women's hair? I can't remember the exact quote.
In the scene with Annette, I thought at first that she was trying to talk Danny into dumping Mindy because of her age or because Annette doesn't like her, but then by the end it became clear that she was in a way protecting Mindy by saying it isn't right to string along a woman her age, so if you're not in it for the…
Agreed. You can't set him up as an OCD neat freak and then not have him know how to wash clothes. On the other hand, it was entertaining that schlubby Nick has that skill.
There's always some suspension of disbelief to contend with in this show: Mindy took a trip out to Staten Island to accuse Annette of taking the bracelet and was back in the office in record time.
Mitchell is so self-absorbed and whiny that it's painful, not funny. And I hope they're saving up for Lily's eventual therapy sessions. Not because her parents are both men, but because neither of them can be bothered to listen to her. Ever.
Hey, turns out Shonda Rhimes really is a Dartmouth alumna! (Maybe this was common knowledge, but I was curious so I looked it up.) I knew Mindy Kaling went there but I wasn't sure if she was making Shonda an honorary alum for the sake of the show.
You and I must have read the same article!
True about Mindy Lahiri, the character, or Mindy Kaling, the actress/writer? I don't know what Mindy Kaling's stance is on guns, if she has expressed one publicly.
Mindy K. isn't conservative, I don't think. I read an interview with her somewhere where she said she enjoys these over-the-top characters that have a conservative streak, like Jack Donaghy (sp?) and one other example that I'm not remembering. So go ahead and be friends with her!
I don't think those wheelie suitcases were around when Danny was going to kids of divorced parents camp. I seem to recall that even flight attendants had collapsible little dollies that you strapped your suitcase onto with a bungee cord.
They think so, too. Remember they even had that exchange toward the beginning last night where Mindy said something like when were you going to introduce us, on our wedding day? And instead of being usual sit-com-boyfriendlike and saying "wedding? who said anything about a wedding?" Danny said he'd assumed she'd be…
I watched it with my brother (half-Swedish, like me) and sis-in-law (Swedish) who were visiting from Stockholm, as it happens, and we thought the same thing. Very choppy, especially the cut in the middle of the crayfish party. They had seen a few eps in Sweden and said they seemed longer. I assume the US version had…
I had to suspend some disbelief again—Danny told Mindy he would wait at the Empire State Bldg all night but left after an hour, then he got pizza somewhere near the office (that never has any patients) and wasn't sure which way to run to get back to the Empire State Bldg?—but that's life in rom-coms and the payoff was…
Agree that one must suspend disbelief a lot to go along with some of the plot points. Like that Charlie is always magically right where Mindy is in NYC. That Danny happens to own (but isn't renting out or particularly aggressively trying to sell) a fully-furnished second condo in his building. That Mindy would agree…
Since they went to all the trouble and (possible) expense of taking cast and crew on a trip to Australia, why not take advantage of the location and do two episodes there? You know, like the Brady Bunch in Hawaii.
Why didn't Phil's dad make the trip as well? Seems like that would have fit with the flimsy premise for the need to go to Australia.
Mine too! And so did his wife, which will come as no surprise if you are a fellow alum. Check out the college homepage for more info.
But that *is* romantic! My husband still has in his wallet the credit card receipt from dinner the night we got engaged. Same type of thing, and I love it.
Why wasn't it mentioned that they sat together on a plane all those episodes ago? I kept waiting for it to come up, then waiting for the recapper to say it, and until I saw this I thought maybe I'd imagined the whole earlier thing (wasn't that the one where she called herself a petite Asian woman?).
