The R1T is the same size as a Tacoma and I wouldn’t be surprised if the prices don’t get pretty close when it comes to the Tacoma EV. I am super curious how Toyota is going to build an EV truck on a shared platform with a ICE vehicle and what that means for things like a frunk.

The weight distribution of the car changes, thermal battery management changes, different interior climate systems are necessary, the suspension…

Right now, Toyota is not in the EV game. They are far far behind. Because of their resistance to EV’s, and their continued use of hydrogen as a red herring, Toyota feels like the Sears of the automotive industry.
