Okay, first off, this thing is on my short list of cars to replace my Bolt EV when the time comes. And, from this announcement, I’m excited! Sure, I’d prefer more of a hatchback/wagon, less of a crossover, but the existence of a Cross Country version tells me this is as close as I’ll get to that wish.

100% agree that a high cost will absolutely wreck this car for that market. As a millennial, even I wouldn’t feel comfortable spending that much.

You’re absolutely right. Volvo is a premium brand and their prices reflect that and fit in well with the competition. But marketing this as a car for the zoomers/millennials feels unrealistic.

Here it is again. That pesky apostrophe you keep placing in the wrong spot. I first noticed it when you shortened Mitsubishi to Mitsu. An apostrophe at the beginning of Mitsu and Taco does absolutely nothing correctly, but tells readers you aren’t proficient in grammar.

Question: What do you think is an apostrophe’s job? And, more specifically, what purpose do you think it fulfills at the beginning of “Mitsu”?

***Infiniti. It's fucking INFINITI.

It’s an older Honda Civic

Both of those cars already exist. Maybe you're thinking of the GRMN versions?

Lol, that's not at all what it means. I'm not doing the googling for you, but the numbers are very easy to find. It is a fact that combustion vehicles self-ignite MUCH more frequently than BEVs. It has been talked about time and time again. The creation of a specialized fire-fighting vehicle such as this doesn't mean

As fun as these comparisons to random objects are, I think relating them to their closest ICE competition would be more helpful. And then I’d like to see a list of the heaviest non-BEV vehicles currently on sale in the states.

uh, the dollar sign goes before, not after

Oh Shit, Here Comes An ‘S’, Better Put A Goddamn Apostrophe” on fb or r/apostrophegore would like a word with you

I mean, you’re kinda right, I guess. But only if the 2025MY doesn’t offer any changes (however minor) to the 2024 version (there is no 2023MY, according to this article). And also, only if they sell all the ones they make for the 2024MY as 2025MYs. Otherwise, if they are made within a certain time frame, they’ll still

We only got the first gen (the one getting recalled). Sadly, we missed the current, better generation in the states. The first one got either 93 or 111 miles of range, depending on the MY/battery.

Yeah, I test drove both the Bolt EV and Kona Electric and liked the Chevy just a smidge more. I really like true one-pedal driving and couldn’t justify the price premium of the Hyundai. But getting one below MSRP is almost unheard of these days. Easy cop!

Where are you getting your information? This 2nd gen Kona Electric isn’t on the E-GMP platform, so it doesn’t share the 800V architecture of the IONIQ5, IONIQ6, EV6, etc. Further, the 2023 gets 258 miles, and this new one gets a Hyundai-estimated 260.
