I grew up loving combat flight sims (Falcon 3, Jane’s F-15E & F/A-18E, among others) and preordered Heatblur’s DCS Tomcat module 6 months before it released. I made sure to have a quality rig, HOTAS, VR, all of it ready to go and...

Between the two prototypes shown, I hope they go with the one without the flap stuck to the back of his head.

Wow, 150k miles on a VR-4? Awesome, I’m happy that someone’s enjoyed it that much!

Me too! At this point, it seems like Bioware’s still throwing concepts around, which I’ve always enjoyed. Their execution has fallen on its face in the last few 10 years (Andromeda, Anthem, even DAI sounds like it was a struggle), but Casey Hudson & Co. don’t skimp on amazing ideas.

Not quite a game, but whatever. Before that fateful Christmas, I saw the movie and BELIEVED in Nintendo’s Seal of Quality! Even after the initial heartbreak, I kept trying to enjoy it for about a year afterward, sure that I was somehow doing it wrong.

You crazy kids! In my day, having your dick out on the highway was a sex crime.

Whoa, I’d never noticed that Cliffy transformed into a Celica GT-Four (also known as that cheaty rallycar). That was probably blah-normal in the G1 days but in retrospect that’s such a rad choice!

What’s with the windshield?

Looks great, perfect color, but it’s not a VR-4. Fix the last thing and you’ve got an awesome car. Otherwise... erm, no. It’s like buying a DSM with the Neon engine.

He said the game had been more expensive than expected, the company had grown significantly larger than it had been in the past (it now operates a second studio in Quebec, Canada), and that their sales projections had been off-base.

Did anyone actually race VR4s? I thought they all just leaked oil in people’s driveways until their transmissions broke or it was time to change the plugs. Then off they went to the used-car lots for some other sucker!

Is he...  is he crying?

Geo Storms were amazing, particularly on the secondary market. They were so tossable and cost virtually nothing, so you could fling them around until you crashed, find another for the price of a pack of gum and keep hooning!

I’m firmly in the Red camp, as I bought a IX MR new in 2005 and still love driving it! I’m hedging my bets in blue corner a little too though, as test-driving STIs converted me to Legacies for family duty.

It was just you guys. We thought your Golfs were cute, though! ;)

Bet it’s only on its 2nd transmission!  :O

Has society fallen so far that we’re now calling the SVX a classic? The desperately depressing also-ran from the Japanese bubble-era SVX? The Subaru sports car that neglected not just a manual, but also a turbo and windows that roll down? That SVX?

They haven’t even figured out the midgame content, yet. I have no idea why anyone keeps playing after the main story (such as it is) ends. I didn’t even make it through the rest of the grind to 30.

Or an under-bribed one.

Whoops! I forgot to subscribe to the F1 streaming thing this weekend, but now it looks like it won’t be necessary. Maybe they should take a cue from Netflix, skip the top 2 teams and focus on the midfield?
