Yup! Everyone goes so fucking boring at the oscars. Tessa Thompson’s after party look is better than virtually every one from the ceremony. 

Great pictures, but I wish the caption/commentary would discuss the pics in the order they appear.  It’s confusing when it’s out of order, and sometimes I just have no idea which dress you are talking because more than one person in each set of pictures is unfamiliar to me.  

Even if she just eased up a bit. Some of the snark is so strident that I find myself feeling defensive of people I’ve never even heard of before. When it’s not funny it’s just kind of mean. 

Can’t believe Rami and Lucy are still pretending to date. Guess she didn’t get all the attention she wanted trying to ride his coattails and wear frumpy grandma dresses or teenage doll clothes.

My fave is Joanne Tucker’s gown -- it is exquisite.

A genuine plea: can we put Joan on the serious-topics beat (her piece on the California fires was moving and beautiful) and take her off the pop-culture-snark? Because it’s not where her talents lie. Half her snark is incomprehensible, and the other half is just wrong.

I must disagree about Brie Larson, she wears that color and similar a lot and it looks good on her! 

Not to sound elitist or anything, but why is Blac Chyna, the last person I would associate with this kind of award, there?

You didn’t mention anything about how the BAFTA’s had a sustainable fashion requirement - all fashion was supposed to be vintage, a re-wear from the owner’s closet, or sustainably produced. I would love to know more about the provenance on some of these items.

I’m obsessed with this show, but watching Monica force a stunter with a back injury to hold up stunts over and over as punishment for injuring himself while cheering with another team made me sick to my stomach.

These reviews would be embarrassing enough if they were uploaded to a teen’s youtube channel, but it’s honestly disappointing to see them posted on Jezebel. There’s nothing admirable about hiding behind a lazy, narrow minded approach to film as art; this shouldn’t need to be said on a progressive site. Let’s leave…

These movies reviews smell like the pretentious music snob that worked at the independent record store and would shit on every band that a customer would ask about before throwing out the most obscure band names they could think of and then scoff at the customers inferior taste when they invariably replied:
