Can we all just agree that the whole “die in the Matrix, die for real” thing was stupid to begin with? The machines are using the humans as resources, and they need them alive for that. They wouldn’t want their batteries or CPUs or whatever they use them for dying out of the blue, because that human thinks it got hit

The cutscene was triggered on Xbox One somehow about a year or so ago, too, but I’m pretty sure that was the result of a bug.

It’s hard to overstate the enormity of the appropriately named Gigaleak.

How about with the cancelled and never-released Star Fox 2,

As the owner of an OLED TV, I’ve really come to appreciate minimal or fading HUDs. I had an LG C7 TV previously, and I played enough Overwatch that the Ultimate meter in the bottom center was visible as a silhouette whenever that part of the screen was predominantly red. Luckily(?) that TV ended up crapping out

I reached out to PR for publisher Devolver Digital, who said that a new, updated icon is already under review for the Switch version of Carrion. I am not sure how that makes me feel.

Seeing as how that game was also on N64, the Dreamcast might have had enough RAM to simply load the entire game without having to read off the disc again. I know the original Animal Crossing on Game Cube was like that, since it was originally an N64 game.

Geez, all the way into the top 4 the entries are written with a generally negative tone. Is THPS actually a bad franchise or something?

Are there any other low-latency streaming services out there? Mixer was the best way to play the games in the Jackbox collections over the internet, every other service I’ve tried introduces a ton of latency that makes it very clunky.

So... PC? Xbox? PS4? Which platform is it free on?

Hence my disappointment. I was hoping for another game in the vein of Rogue Squadron.

Save the santimonious elitism. If it’s so important that the game play only in first person you should be able to explain with words why that is.

I don’t believe for a second that it was anything other than technology limitations that made a first-person perspective necessary for X-Wing, and the follow-up titles simply followed suit out of tradition even when it became feasible to have both.

Nonsense. Technology’s marched on in the past decades, there’s no reason they can’t have detailed instruments in the cockpit view and a more traditional HUD for a third-person view. Especially in a space combat game where the resources that need to be devoted to the environment are minimal.

The Rogue Sqaudron games were also fantastic, and they managed to offer both cockpit and third person views. There’s no reason a new game couldn’t do the same.

Did you never play any of the Factor 5 Star Wars games like Rogue Squadron? Or Star Fox? What about the fact that the Star Wars ships were designed first and foremost to look cool on screen, and are infamous for how difficult it would be to actually pilot them because of bad visibility from the cockpit?

Spaceships are pretty cool too, so I’d like to see the one I’m flying. Especially if ship cosmetics are supposed to be a reward.

Only 8 ships? And the whole game is first-person? What a disappointment.

About time they officially announced Horizon One Dawn!
