I get the best results form a dry brine with kosher salt, cook and finish with a nice flaky salt
Provided you have access to prime, dry-aged steak, yes it you can come awfully close to replicate the steak as long as you aren’t scared of super high heat and salt. But just the steak itself isn’t that much cheaper at a butcher shop vs. a steakhouse. Its the sides and liquor that they gouge you at steakhouse. More…
Is Cea Sal a real thing? I want to punch my screen just looking at it..
Rotten Egg/Buttered Popcorn
Agreed - 44 fast food trips a year seems like a lot. 149 is downright ridiculous.
Not bacon per se, but pork belly burnt ends are the unmatched star of any bbq.
I’m sorry but there is no way you get more of everything in a bowl vs. a burrito. This stuff has been cost engineered to hell.
it looks kinda mushy and underdone, though it’s hard to tell for sure from just a photo.
Man that is quite a bad review if you’d rather go to BK above it. Perhaps I’m wrong in my assessment but of three big fast food chains (McDs, Wendys, BK) BK is far and away the one I would never go to
I’m curious to try these. There is a time and a place for nuggets (i.e., car trip) and the one time I had them, I was not a fan of the Popeye’s tenders. Oddly thin and dry - almost like there was no chicken and it was just the crust. You are right with the superb crunchy crags but it was missing something.
I’m dying to know i) who asked for this; and ii) who does Chuck believe their target market to be?
Theoretically speaking, is a tea bag really all that much different from a french press? You let coffee grinds soak in hot water and then strain the grounds, either through a metal strainer or through removing the tea bag. Certainly there can be differences in what is strained out based on size of strainer/holes, etc…
And are they better with… ranch?
Agree with you that grilled pizza is great and much easier for a novice since you dont have to worry about a peel or sliding into an oven. I just pick up the stretched dough that has been oiled and flop it oiled side down on the grill. Try pesto on a grilled pizza with a few dollops of ricotta cheese. Perfect combo…
Damn that’s one hell of a triple threat. Don’t think I could come up with a better trifecta if I tried.
I can see the sauced thighs being a disaster to eat. I do enjoy the Atomic flavored wings there but not sure I’d want it on a thigh. Wish they had more dry-rub flavors for a bone-in thigh though.
Devotee of the shower beer but it’s much more infrequent now than it was in my 20s. Mostly now it’s when I’m coming back from playing a sport at night. Grab a beer on my way upstairs and take it into the shower. Simultaneously cooling down, refreshing, calming and cleaning myself up.
I want a Seth Rogen meal. I can imagine a sausage McMuffin with egg with a hash brown, some cheese fries and a side of McNuggets with Buffalo sauce
Beg to differ. Wafer cone is never the answer. Who willingly chooses the one that tastes like paper vs. the one that tastes like a crunchy waffle
