Seconding Eleanor of Aquitaine and I’ll add Matilda, first Queen of England, wife of William the Conqueror, whom I just finished a biography of and she was BADASS.

It was actually a volume of the Encyclopædia Britannica. Which I think has at least as much ironic value as a Bible in this story.
