I think it’s become the “Americanized” way to say it. I was pronouncing the following names as the French intended, until I was corrected:

I love the way my kids put together their outfits. It's like having mini Little Edies. They'd look better if I dressed them, but it's entertaining and inspiring to let them come up with their ensembles.
