It’s important to still try to avoid getting infected, even if we have been infected before.”

Some of this seems way too controlling. I think emphasizing consent is a good idea, but if both kids agree to playing finger guns and saying “I’m going to kill you” I really think it’s overkill to try to intervene at that point. And doing so is not going to help your kid in an actual situation involving a gun.

I am curious how severity compares between cases of first vs. re-infection. Are there ever cases of a second or third infection being more severe than previous?

I get the noise issue but how loud is a mini fridge going to be? And how much extra energy does a real fridge use compared to a 45 degree one? Like, I don’t understand the benefit here from the hotel’s perspective. If you’re getting complaints from guests once a week about something that can be easily solved by

I guess I can see the value in mise en place when you are just starting out. But on the other hand cleanup is a big part of what can make cooking a daunting task, and dirtying a bunch of little bowls/plates obviously makes it worse. Being able to do some of the prep work while one of the earlier steps is in the oven

As for the social life aspect, I think the harder part to do on a budget is making new friendships rather than maintaining old ones. I’m down to do a nice home cooked meal at my or their apartment with my best friend, but I don’t necessarily want to do that with someone I just met.

I feel like being willing to eat leftovers at least once or ideally twice after the original meal is an even better way to save money than learning to cook a single serving, though. Needing to cook two or three times a week is far less daunting than needing to cook a fresh meal every day, at which point it gets

I always imagine a secret agent man who also happens to be Asian.

I feel like this is kind of unavoidable. I’m not going to walk to the lavatory just to fart, plus there are times when you can’t even get up to go to the lavatory (meal times, takeoff/landing).

But if you can’t get into the aisle then you have to do the awkward hunch in order to stand at your seat, which seems far less comfortable than just sitting for a few more minutes.

Maybe it’s different at sleep-away camps? The job I applied for that paid less than minimum wage was a day camp in the city.

My cousins have done lifeguarding every summer since they turned 16 and they made really good money for a teenager, but depending on where you work it can be a really big responsibility for a young person. They had to rescue people regularly at the lake where they worked, and at one point a kid drowned and they

I think there are some valid concerns with cruises in terms of disease outbreaks or the general being trapped issue, but some of these are silly. Taking a normal vacation by car or plane also has its own risks, many of which are far more likely than the literally one in a million chance of falling overboard. Also,

Yeah I was thinking along the lines of a parent buying for their own infant. Obviously if you’re buying enough for 100 babies you would (rightfully) be penalized.

I get that cost could be prohibitive but I really don’t see being concerned about the legal aspect here if you can find a willing shipper and have the money. Even with all the problems the United States has I can’t see anyone getting legally penalized for trying to buy formula for their infant. Also, how would you

Honestly I went as an 8-year-old and even then it was only OK for me. I was always more of a Nickelodeon kid than a Disney kid though, so it wasn’t like I was super excited to see the princesses or anything like that. And for rides and other traditional amusement park stuff I didn’t necessarily feel like I needed

The suggestions in the other article linked aren’t super helpful though. Like, what if the store is out of all formula, not just your preferred brand? What if the doctor doesn’t have samples? Presumably they will run out if everyone is doing this.

Baby formulas imported from Europe or other parts of the world aren’t held to the same FDA standards as those produced in the United States.”

Call the Midwife has had the consequences of abortion being illegal as a recurring theme throughout the series!

I’m sure things have improved since but the last time I was at JFK in summer 2021 a lot of the restaurants were still closed from Covid. Luckily I had brought a sandwich but otherwise the only options were a Hudson News packaged sandwich or a wine bar that had charcuterie plates (and a crazy long line to get in). I
