They had so many great songs that were b/w other great songs. Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields, She Loves You/I'll Get You, Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out, Cant Buy Me Love/You Can't Do That, Roll Over Beethoven/Please Mr. Postman, Do You Want to Know a Secret/Thank You Girl, I Want to Hold Your Hand/I Saw Her Standing

Trying to be a hipster with I'll Be On My Way? Kudos. How about "Ask [NOT Tell] Me Why"?

Yes, Something is a gorgeous song, but it's not even George's best. She Loves You is a practically perfect song, and pretty revolutionary for a rock song in its use of the third person. Pure genius, IMHO.

You think it's threatening to wish your girlfriend dead rather than with another man? Posh. And people said John had anger issues. <sarcasm off="">

The definitive version of While My Guitar a Gently Weeps is from George's Live in Japan album. Difficult to find, but if you do, Clapton's extended solo will blow you away with its beauty and its amazing… Claptonness.

Yes! I'm Looking Through you!

I'll Cry Instead

I've read that it was written about John and Paul's friendship.

I also like the drumming on "Ticket to Ride."

Well, if you're going to include Rutles songs, you should also include songs from Utopia's "Deface the Music." I nominate "I Just Want to Touch You" and "Where Does the World Go to Hide."

Forgot about "What You're Doing." Great song. Too many great songs to be limited to just one per letter.

"Wild Honey Pie" is the one where they just sing, "Honey pie," over and over. "Honey Pie" is one of McCartney's so-called "granny songs." It's the one that goes, "Honey Pie, you are making me crazy…"

I'll Cry Instead!

You Can't Do That is another great Lennon stalker song. So sue me. I love it, and Run For Your Life as well.

Wait. He says it's only a scratch, and he'll be better, doc, as soon as he is able.

I can see where you're coming from. Side 2 of Abbey Road is exquisite. And boy, are we dating ourselves by talking about "side 2." But that is the way it was meant to be heard. As a single piece. Don't think I'd call it the best ever, but it's right up there.

You do know that "Honey Pie" and "Wild Honey Pie" are two different songs, don't you?

But that's the best part! McCartney's wailing blows me away!

Another total joy song from A Hard Days Night - I Should Have Known Better. Watching Lennon perform that song during the concert part of the movie just says it all. The look on his face, his stance - you can tell that he's on top of the world and just loving it. Watching it, I waver between ecstasy and sadness, in

You can actually see "Let It Be" in total on You Tube. It's broken up into several parts, but it's all there. Or at least it was. I spent an evening watching it a few years ago.
