@amowls: The worst communal shower story I have involves a dead goldfish in a coffee mug that was left on the shelf about the sink where everyone had to brush their teeth. Dorms suck.

@erinfabu: Murder by ground up glass hidden in hamburgers was featured in a Christopher Pike book I read as a kid!

The women's health clinic kept a basket full of free little mirrors at their reception desk. They never explicitly said what they were for but it's pretty clear, given that there's a drawing of a naked lady (from the back) on the mirror, along with the name of the women's health clinic. I don't think that there was

I'm completely unsurprised that he lost weight eating fewer calories than he burned.

I'm too busy eying Katy's bracelet. Love it!

My dad banned most of the music my peers listened to and most of the tv shows they watched (although mom and I watched Friends together when he was out of town for business) and pretty much all it did was make me stand out in school in a negative way for not knowing about "cool" things.

Post race beer is the best ever! :)

I really like OB tampons for when I will have access to soap and water, but won't be able to carry a purse (skiing, for example) but in general, I find insertion to be a little painful. It's not about me having an issue with touching myself, it's the friction of the cotton sans applicator! Ouch!

I had a roommate who put a big potted plant, more of a tree, really, in the corner of our carpeted living room. I didn't pay much attention to it since she took care of watering it. When she moved out, she left the tree, which at that point had gotten kind of half dead and scraggly, so my other roommate and I decided

Angelfood with apple cinnamon pie filling and chocolate cinnamon frosting (from a can), with corn nuts and pumpkin seeds? That sounds like something you'd only eat on a dare!

I shower every day b/c I like to shower. Now that it's cooler, I've switched to night showers and I only wash my hair once a week (although I condition every day). However, a few years ago, that would not have cut it for me- I'm getting less oily as I get older.

The blustery November wind was cold as she sat, waiting for the tow truck, and wondering if Freud was perhaps correct.

Gosh, I don't remember what I wore to my grandmothers' fairly recent funerals, but for one grandfather I wore a black and white dress (that I'd been given as a graduation present) and for one I wore a knee length brown tweed skirt and a cream top (it was fall and I was a poor college student). I'm guess I probably

So why hasn't the head-stomper been arrested for assault?

@eloiseonahill: Ooh I have never even heard of them, but I will check them out b/c I am currently stuck in a huge rut, clothing wise. Thanks! :)

@eloiseonahill: What if you don't feel ridiculous, but you feel bored and boring instead?

I do empathize with her feeling frumpy after working in the same place for a few years. I'm totally there right now. The work clothes I bought a few years ago are by and large the work clothes I still wear, b/c why buy new work clothes for the same old office when the ones you have are perfectly good/don't have holes

@Scoithniamh: It only takes me 5-10 minutes to do my hair and that's if I straighten it too- but I do all my other chores so it's semi dry, and will admit that my hair is very fine, which helps it dry fast.
