We are NOT going to talk about Ruby!
We are NOT going to talk about Ruby!
Well, even if that is totally wrong, it took me FOREVER to finally make the connection between "Garland" and Judy. Felt so stupid.
Man, if that's so, I can't trust my memory any more! Guess I'll have to re-watch every episode and not assume I remember what I actually saw.
1. We don't know DoppelCoop is sending messages directly to Diane. There's evidence someone is relaying those messages. And the text he sent in this episode just said "Las Vegas?" The one we saw Diane receive said "Have they asked you about Las Vegas yet?" (or something close to that).
Apprentice woodsmen? Because they're still…..green?
Good point.
RE: Judy. We might be putting way too much thought into a storyline that was more or less abandoned during the filming of FWWM (and since Bowie's scene was one long take, Lynch couldn't edit out the "Judy"), but a couple of possibilites are that it was the code name for Major "Garland" Briggs and there's another…
I've been seeing a few comments about how Lynch wasn't very happy with the last half season of the original Twin Peaks. Could this be the reason for virtually no mention of Annie? Is he simply willing her out of existence because he hated that storyline so much?
Not as much as when DoppelCoop was trying to find Jeffries and I was thinking 'Holy crap, they DID get Bowie to film a scene!"
Yeah, I'm wondering whose bright idea it was for Bowie to not only do an American accent, a SOUTHERN American accent, but a HILLBILLY SOUTHERN ACCENT. It was pretty close to that trailer trash character from The Simpsons.
This season became a lot more entertaining to me once I adjusted to Lynch's pace and stopped fighting against it.
I've been a fan of Chantal and Hutch all along, even though I KNOW I absolutely shouldn't have any good feelings about a couple complaining that people die on them too quick to be properly tortured.
If you notice, when 'Dougie' repeats 'delicious' after Janey-E asks "Is it (the cake) delicious?" Kyle not only mimics the word, but he also mimics the questioning inflection. A tiny little thing that inordinately pleases me.
Did you catch how there was some sort of electrical glitch both times he punched those guys, the music skipping a bit?
That was great direction, Lynch knowing most of the audience would be going "Oh shit, DID BOWIE ACTUALLY FILM A SCENE BEFORE HE DIED?!" as DoppelCoop made his way to room number 8. I know I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was about to happen.
5. I'm thinking "the Dutchman's" was the convenience store.
A denzien or a prisoner? Was Jeffries locked into his 'motel room'?
Quite possible, but I would have thought we'd see a glimpse of BOB's current whereabouts by now, if that's what happened. Plus, the whole plan was to kill CooperGanger and have him (wearing the ring) transport back to the Red Room / Black Lodge. Isn't BOB what made Mr. C so dangerous? Or are the doppelgangers that…
Yep. He did do the nasty in the pasty.
I still remember watching the Newhart finale as it aired. I leapt to my feet because I knew what was happening even before the lights came on in the bedroom at the end.
