*Shudder*
I don't think BOB was extracted from CooperGanger, but merely exposed during their 'repair' of him.
I've been toying with the idea that the random roadhouse scenes take the place of the soap opera within a soap opera on the original Twin Peaks. Not strictly related, but tangential.
THE The Beatles!
Er.
…and faked a car crash to cover why 'Dougie' was so spaced out at first and occasionally after that.
Yeah, as I posted above, before seeing your comment, the suggestion is that Andy knew the dirt was meant to protect all of them, so he gave her some of what he had.
I saw this somewhere, but haven't rewatched the episode yet. Someone suggested Andy gave Naido some of the dirt from his pocket to protect her. And this may be why he was chosen/taken.
Once I understood and accepted that Lynch was doing it on purpose (even if I don't know the exact reason why) those scenes became humorous to me instead of aggravating. And the Dougie scenes are moments of sublime comedy. (Please don't hate me for using the word 'sublime'. Never used it before in my life.)
Hey, did Albert step on a duck?
What other acting has Lynch done? I've wondered if the hard of hearing bit was a very clever way to get by with someone who wasn't as nuanced an actor as the rest of the cast.
They took 'Dougie's fingerprints at the police station, so I'd have to imagine that's going to set off an FBI alarm somewhere.
Please. The last two scenes with Jerry have been hilarious.
I would argue that texture and tone are nearly as important as plot to Lynch. Not to me, normally, but I make an adjustment when I watch Twin Peaks.
Twin Peaks (at its best) was too weird for tv at the time. They had to get rid of it and carve up the corpse into Northern Exposure, Picket Fences, and The X-Files to tone it down enough for the public to like it.
I see what you did there!
Might just be wishful thinking, but I see Restored Coop staying with Janey-E and Sonny jim.
After the actor credits, check out the musical credits.
Virtually no one mentions that both of Candie's co-workers are equally spaced out.
