It was a remote camera setup, so no olfactory interaction.

Score one for my dwindling brain cells! Rather than try to find the episode on the DVR, I did a quick Google search.

Hey, I'm not saying he can't sell his shovels. But it's a fair question. Even if Dr. Amp himself thinks it's a scam and he's doing it just for profit, does that matter if his listeners (Nadine) wind up getting some honest emotional benefit from them?

Actually, I took a guess at the price. I can't remember off the top of my head how much Dr. Amp was selling his shit-shovellers for.

Metaphors are typically free. Not $29.99 plus shipping.

I took it as him physically changing what was on the other side of that doorway he guarded.

Don't forget that one scene of BOB and Cooper's Doppelganger hugging on each other and laughing. So, they are (or were) two distinct entities. At least in Black Lodge / Waiting Room.

He might very well subscribe to the same belief as David Chase (and others, I'm sure) that art shouldn't be explained (by the artist). Everything the artist had to say is in the finished piece.

General Robert E. Lee and his Fighting Pine Weasels reverse the tide at Gettysburg and preserve the Confederacy, all so that today no one can bitch about tearing down a statue of Joseph E. Johnston.

I can't say it was or should have been on my bucket list, but I can honestly say I had a conversation with Alf.

If his first question upon waking up (at the very end of episode 18) is "How's Annie?", it's going to be very fucking long 27 years to come.

Probably just holdover angst from when Ed was sitting alone at the counter, contemplating suicide.

Fine, but each and every time Kyle M said "Dougie Jones", it was hilarious.

Was it actually Jurgen Prochnow, though? Could have sworn I saw his name in the credits last night.

Yeah, it was close. And the voice actor had a tougher job trying to match up to such an exaggerated accent.

I think Lynch is 'trolling' in the sense that he's doing some of these things on purpose. Well, he's doing EVERYTHING on purpose, but he is doing specific things that he knows will annoy some people. But I don't blame him, because he knows everyone watching has a choice. They can get all worked up over a dozen weeks

I did just run across an article stating that Maddy may have been Laura's tulpa.

And until I saw the credits, I didn't know the dog was Lara Flynn Boyle!

Usually, I absolutely need things to make sense and really don't like random weirdness, but I tend to give Lynch a pass on this, knowing that sometimes he just likes odd sounds and bizarre images and disconnected dialogue.
