A good apology covers 1. owning specifically what you did 2. acknowledging you hurt the other person & 3. telling how you are going to make it right.

believes “every decision I made was a good one at the time I made it,”

It seems like the minutes to midnight is some sort of non-linear, non-objective scale. Like when you rate things 1-10, there’s a clear progression from 1 to 10, with 11 being the utmost. By moving up one minute, are we now twice a screwed? Is it geometrical and were 10x screwed? I don’t see anywhere that explains how

I’ve been doing sprint tri’s for about 10 years now and enjoy it. The two big things I’ve found are:

Sorry, not even a walmart wolverine.

I’m a Michigan native living in Pennsylvania. I still keep ties to a lot of my friends from Michigan. The blinkered ignorance and head in the sand lack of perception on the part of Sparty alums I know sounds an awful lot like Penn State in regards to Sandusky. There is a lot of “well, the admin didn’t really know

I wouldn’t say unions are obsolete, as they allow two very large entities to interact and create rules of the road for both parties so everyone knows what they are expected to do. In employment, this is a good thing.

“Ellerbe has broken free, he’s chasing Brady in the pocket...”

When my wife is like, “It’s hot,” and then I’m like, “YOU’RE hot,” you should see the simultaneous mix of surprise and agitation on her face.

It was reported to the gymnastics coach in ‘97, the softball coach in ‘98, and the track coach in ‘00. All MSU staff told the girls not to report it. The girls referred to Nassar as “crotch doc” due to the ungloved manipulations he did.

MSU employees stonewalled these girls in 1997. It was an open secret he was a creep from at least that point. When an employee of the university was under suspicion of molesting young women, she let him continue to see the very same class of patients.

After. It’s a bit of closing the barn door after the horse left, but they also don’t want to have another Sandusky on their hands.

If you just hit gymnastics and administration where the fault lies, no one’s going to care. I hate to be a pessimist, but when was the last time the public thought about gymnastics? Last Olympics? I don’t like collective punishments, but it’s the only way to get people’s attention in this case.

That’s why it’s got to hit all sports. The revenue from women’s gymnastics isn’t a rounding error on the MSU budget, and insurance will cover the lawsuits. The fastest way to get someone’s attention is to hit them in the pocket book.

I live in Pennsylvania. When I wanted to volunteer at my kids’ schools, I had to take a three hour mandatory training on spotting grooming, sexual abuse, and what to do if you even think its happening.

Whenever I hear a President/CEO/leader talk about how much space there is between them and an indecent like this, I always reflect back to an event that happened as I joined the Army.

I’ve used a simple “Excuse me?” Sometimes I will repeat it if they say the same ***-ist thing. Maybe its having to repeat something offensive or my progressively flummoxed tone, but I’ve had people come to a haltering stop with this. If they keep going at full bore, then I’ll ask them in a neutral tone if that’s

but the whole POINT of being in a relationship is to fart with impunity

Same. My exact words to the salesman as the pen was hovering over the contract were “I bought the car, not your advertisement. Take that off and I sign.” You could see the rage behind his eyes as he had a deal all ready to go and there was a last minute nibble. It was glorious as he called the prep guys to take it

I have a family of five. We usually go on the Sunday afternoon of the premiere weekend for the big movies. The matinee tickets are $3.99 each, so with the drinks and popcorn, the whole family goes for around $40. Not too shabby for an afternoon out.
