My labor was bad enough and about 30 hours long. That said, being mobile (while I could) helped a lot. I can’t imagine being bedridden.

It never occurred to me that more than 1 or 2 people would read my comment, let alone star it or respond.
I’m sorry. We’ve got a lot of mental illness in my family so I have some experience with the type of thing you’re talking about. It’s the reason my mom is a nurse, and my sister is about to receive her masters in nursing. They want to help people avoid the type of experience you described.
HIGH FUCKING FIVE. I have always been firmly pro-choice but pregnancy and motherhood has made me MILITANTLY pro-choice. I love my child and love spending time with her but this is really hard and not something anyone should ever be forced or coerced into.

I’m familiar with DoC (read a really interesting/scary book called “Confederates in the Attic” a few years ago). I guess to me that wasn’t white women, not ALL white women, just “those white women.” Those bad, ignorant, SOUTHERN white women. Different from the women I know and grew up with in Michigan. Definitely…
That number sucks, bigly, I know. But if we don’t allow ourselves some joy in these victories we will run out of steam. This is a MARATHON. Let yourself celebrate a little so you have the energy to fight again tomorrow.
This caused a weird, spontaneous giggle to escape the confines of my cubicle!
Whatever. Did Steve even ASK the unborn? Perhaps they are Democrats.
That’s where he looks for dates.
CITATION PLEASE.
Whenever someone says something tastes like shit I MUST respond with, “It IS shit, Austin.”
YUP. This is exactly what they do. Keep some (semi-)plausible deniability and turn it around on us. Over and over.
I have ongoing sinus issues and when they’re at their worst I literally want the world to end. Thoughts and prayers, man.
(white woman, here)
Yes?
Parents.
“twisting his gangrulars”
I went to engineering school the UP and we used that terminology. Now I feel fancy!
Sweet Jesus.
