Well, i mean, roller derby practices run 2-3 hours and (in The Before Times, when we were allowed to have them) i had no problem getting through them most days. If i gave blood, or had a cold or flu, sometimes i needed to rest during a drill, but that was pretty rare.

Right?? My J3 refurb was around $100, 4 years ago.  If it ever dies, i miiiiiight upgrade to a J7, but i’ll probably get another J3.  Total workhorse.

I’m curious what league you were a member of, that handled bouting in that manner? It’s not the norm in the 20 ish leagues i’ve associated with in my 8 years of bouting, being on the BoD, training referees, writing bylaws and codes of conduct, etc.

I just don’t eat a lot of non-frozen perishables. Vegetables and meat are my staples, so they stay frozen until i’m ready to cook them. According to Lose-it my nutrients are fairly balanced.

I can’t tell if i’m failing or not, based on the above criteria. My only resolution is to sell my house this year, which obviously i have not accomplished yet ;)

I did this just the other day! But it was mainly because the inside of my fridge cracked me up. A door full of condiments, but nothing on the shelves except 1 jar of pickles, all my vape juice, and a drawer full of cheese. I win at bachelor fridge!

My freezer on the other hand is full to bursting, so clearly i’m well

Yours is very impressive! For most people, i feel as though it’s the long term commitment where we all crumble. That’s why apps like Fitocracy, and fitness trackers, are so popular. We know we need a bit of public scrutiny to get the job done.

Mine is very intimidating.

I will be switching from a roller derby player, to a roller derby ref. It’ll be easier on me physically (hoping to limit myself to 4 broken bones in the past 7 years) but intellectually much harder. The rulebook is long, the gameplay fast and furious, the personalities are incredibly strong

Oof, my lunch is one of my rare times to sit and drink some water and relax. Yes, some days i don’t mind joining coworkers, but 4/5 days a week i need to get away from everyone else and be alone and not in lab for 30-60 minutes. All that togetherness is wearying!

If i eat lunch away from my desk, still require 30-60

My favorite is deep violet, but i couldn’t begin to guess why. It’s just a wavelength that appeals to my cones, apparently.

My least favorite colors are teal, aqua, and chartreuse. Again, no idea why except that i find them jarring and unnatural.
