I remember getting the DS version for my birthday and you’re right, it was really fairly decent. That starfighter mode was great.

Except it wasn’t. Broadley’s Lola design was revolutionary, but this story is about winning Le Mans, which took a hell of a lot of tuning and reworking from the Shelby team to do. They couldn’t have accomplished it without Lola but the “driving force” in this story was Ford/Shelby.
You’re right that Ford was massive, but you have to remember that Ferrari DOMINATED the racing world, both politically and on the track.
I can’t wait to finally see this story on the big screen. All of the early footage has gotten excellent reactions. And the cast and crew are outstanding!
Glad to hear you liked 24 Hour War. We’re working with the awesome guys who made it on a new doc about Carroll Shelby. Keep an eye out!
THIS. Just driving a regular car I try to leave myself a few car lengths on a busy highway, and without fail some dipshit ALWAYS takes that as an opportunity to try to jump in front of me.
Damn, I was really looking forward having a solid fighter on Switch, that I can play on the go. But a straight forward, single player game that has to be constantly connected to the internet? Fuck that.
Oh I understand, but I don’t think I agree. Johansson is very very talented but she’s made quite a few other films during her stint in the MCU and she really works best in specific roles. I don’t there is any role she might have missed out on that would have been more memorable or successful than Black Widow did.…
Actually, they cast her because Emily Blunt turned them down.
I was honestly in the camp that thought they would never actually do this (with either him or Bucky). But DAMN it was great to see. Outside of Chris Evans as Cap, Anthony Mackie is my favorite part of the MCU. I can’t wait for the Winter Soldier/Falcon series.
I mean, they made her the most recognizable female superhero during that time, and earned her a SHIT TON of money. It’s hard to say they did nothing with her.
Honestly if BvS wasn’t such a pile of nihilistic, contrived excrement I think the Martha thing could have worked fine. But it was, so it didn’t.
I was always an apologist for LOST’s logical gaps because the emotional and character payoffs were just fucking amazing. That said I’ll never give them a pass on how many major characters they killed with no inkling of resolution or emotional payoff.
Spiderman 3 was never good.
Think of it this way, if they tell a joke on a late night talk show, would it be theft if someone else starts telling it? I think most people would agree it is. If someone wrote a song and posts it on YouTube it’s still their creation.
People sometimes forget what a challenge it was to introduce Thor into the MCU. Despite the green giants and flying armor suits, making a film that somehow slotted a Norse god with a giant hammer fit into the more grounded elements of the franchise was a big ask, and they did a great job.
I think that’s also largely down to how much influence Robert Downey Jr and Jon Favreau had on the overall feel of the MCU. Leterrier wasn’t bound by that since there was only one preceding film. There wasn’t a “franchise” to speak of. After another Iron Man film the cinematography, fx, and editing all took on a more…
I believe I know the same person you’re speaking of, and I agree that sucks incredibly hard. And with 7000 applications on the first run I’m sure he’s not the only hardcore Ford fan who got left out. But you also kind of proved my point that it’s not solely the amount of money they’ve spent with the company when…
You’d be surprised. I certainly know some GT owners who do that, but I also know a few who are pretty low key all things considered. Obviously anyone who can afford one isn’t living hand to mouth, but they’ve done a fairly good job of making sure a lot of them went to real car people.
I spend a lot of time around Ford people.
